I am an official guide, born and raised in Athens. I grew up surrounded by the layers of history that define this city. Today, I am an officially licensed Tourist Guide certified by the Hellenic Ministry of Culture and Tourism and a graduate in History. Follow me in this tour and I will unfold for you STEP BY STEP our history, visiting all major monuments. I structure the tour in such a way that not only you will see the marvels of the ancient world that Athens has to offer, but by the end of the day you will have learned so much you won't believe it! It will be a Greek fairy tale and you will be part of it. This is by far the favourite tour of my clients that are visiting Athens with me for the first time! I love my city, I was born here and lived most of my life in these alleys. My clients like it so much, they bring their friends the following years and do it all over again! I always try to add something and embellish it year after year, I believe it has been perfected. More to see more to learn more to prepare you for all the wonders you will see in my country and how they took place. Why Greece? Why Athens? Christina split our desired tour into 2 very manageable sessions. Our tour of the Acropolis museum and Acropolis site was weaved together into a captivating continuous story. We did a walking tour of Athens and it was great. Christina guided, informed and entertained us very well. With the Acropolis we started in the morning and there was not much going on there yet - perfect timing. At the Acropolis Museum she gave us a great overview and had an answer to every question. Your Athens tour itinerary
Our day and the time we start the tour is flexible and is meant to accommodate your schedule and interests. - We will first climb to the Acropolis hill for a couple of hours before the crowds start coming and then we will walk to visit the new Acropolis or the National Archaeological museum. - Pass by the Plaka, the old quarter of Athens, as well as the Flea Market . We will see the Roman agora and the temple of Zeus with the arch of Hadrian nearby, the National garden, the stadium where the first modern Olympic Games were held, and finally try to catch up the change of the guards. - We will then finish at a nice place and have a typical Greek lunch. There are many more museums, sights and galleries to visit - let me know if you have specific places you wish to go.
