Athens Half Day Shore Excursion Tour

The half-day we spent with Alex was the absolute highlight of our holiday. We began a 15 day Viking Cruise with a 2 night pre-trip in Athens. While many of our Viking excursion guides were excellent, none were in league with Alex. He has an extensive education and knowledge of Greece and truly made history come alive for us. Bonuses: no language issues, private tour for the 4 of us, comfortable van and a great driver. Plus: on-time pickup and return to our hotel and maintained a perfect pace for us. In addition, we were able to exchange messages in advance and Alex tailored our tour to suit. Wish we could rate higher than 5 stars.

Very knowledgeable and fun guide. Very easy to see many sites in a short period. This was like the easy button for Athens.

Our group of six could not have asked for a better guide than Alex! His extensive knowledge, and charming personality were a delight throughout the day. With only limited time in Athens, we feel we saw the best of the city in a short amount of time. Our driver arrived at port right on time in a very roomy, immaculate van which made the ride to the city center very simple. Both men made our day quite easy and memorable, and both are highly recommended by our group!

Visiting Athens is an incredible experience. But if it's your first time, don't try to do it on your own — use a local guide. We chose Alex & we were not disappointed. Alex is a great teacher & storyteller. He makes things very easy to understand. He's very personable & is VERY GOOD at what he does! So glad we selected him to be our guide. Also, as an American, we learned a lot about our roots, practices & sayings which come from Greece. We highly recommend Alex — you won't go wrong with him!
