Overview of your Athens tour
I started doing this tour because as a true local, I am pleased to introduce visitors to my country, showing them our monuments and giving them a glimpse of Greek culture. This private tour is the best way to see Athens! Visit the Parthenon, the eternal symbol of the Athenian democracy and western civilization and walk the places where democracy, philosophy, drama and arts were born. We will drive around the city and see traditional neighborhoods next to modern buildings. The Tour starts with the hill of Acropolis, followed by a visit to the Temple of Zeus by way of Hadrians Arch and from there, a visit of Panathenaic Stadium, where the first modern Olympic Games were held in 1896. Next, driving alongside we will see the changing of the guard. After that, we will admire the architectural trilogy of Athens. Then, moving into the historical center of the city we will drive up the highest hill of Athens, Lycabettus Hill. After lunch, we will visit Ancient Greek Agora and the unique New Acropolis Museum.

Top Visits: •Acropolis Hill: On the historical hill, you will see the Temple of the Athena Nike, the monumental gateway, the Erechtheum and the famous Parthenon. Please note that as I am not a licensed guide, I will not be able to accompany you inside the sites. •Temple of Zeus - Arch of Hadrian: The Temple of Zeus is the biggest temple in antiquity, devoted to the King of the Gods. •Old Olympic Stadium: Where the first modern Olympic Games were held in 1896. •Parliament - Changing of the Guards: We will see the changing of the guards in front of the old palace and the Hellenic Parliament, located in the Old Royal Palace. •Academy - University - National Library: We'll see one of the most historical streets of Athens with neoclassical buildings and the architectural trilogy of Athens. •Ancient Agora: The birthplace of democracy, philosophy and free speech. •Plaka - The Old City: Our next stop is a traditional Greek tavern for a lunch break •New Acropolis Museum: Voted as the best mono-thematic museum
