Argolis: a day trip from Athens to the mythical land of kings and heroes

Five-plus stars for this tour and amazing tour guide. My wife and I had an incredible, all day private tour of Mycenae, Epidaurus, and Nafplio with Maria, who is responsible in great part for making our first visit to Greece one of our most memorable trips. Maria is a seasoned local guide who is truly an expert in ancient history with deep knowledge and passion that brought each site to life. She provided us with context and stories that made the ruins far more meaningful (and fun), we couldn’t get enough! Maria was engaging, highly professional, and clearly very well-versed in the history of the region. It was an unforgettable and enriching experience that we would highly recommend.

Maria’s Day trip to Argolis tour was AMAZING! She AND driver Demetre picked us up at our hotel: clean, roomy vehicle. Maria sat in front with driver, we 4 sat in back (2 facing forward, 2 facing back, towad us) - plenty of room. Marie spoke over microphone as we traveled. Easy to hear and understand. SO knowledgeable AND conversational. Two-and-a-half year guide school & archeologist degree background VERY apparent! Experienced so she knew how to avoid crowds. Known and respected by sites, she got us to the front of any line AND entered sites with us (not all “guides” are qualified to do so). We learned SO much AND had a wonderful time. The day (including travel time) flew by. HIGHLY recommend the Argolis Day Tour AND, because of Maria’s background, knowledge and attention to detail, any tour she might lead!!

This was our third tour with Maria. Mycenae was spectacular and came alive thanks to Maria. We all liked The theater at Epidaurus as well. There's too much to see and learn in Greece and too little time so having Maria filter it all is very useful. This was our second long drive with our driver Nick who made sure we were transported safely as well as efficiently .

Maria was very knowledgeable, very professional and very personable, and was exactly what we needed as a guide. I would highly recommend her to anyone.

We spent 2 days with Maria, the first touring Athens and the 2nd day on this Argolis day trip which was also very good. We loved all the archeological stops and especially Nafpoli. She is great guide. We will use her every time we are in Athens.

I can't recommend Maria enough. She is a wonderful speaker & guide with a real passion for Greece both ancient and modern. This was evident in the many times she pointed out little details about architecture, a monument, or a artifact that would have been easy to just overlook and move us along. The car and driver were impeccable and better than expected. This tour was fantastic, real opportunity to see the Greece outside Athens and from a different perspective. 100% Recommended without any reservation.
