I am an official guide, born and raised in Athens. I grew up surrounded by the layers of history that define this city. Today, I am an officially licensed Tourist Guide certified by the Hellenic Ministry of Culture and Tourism and a graduate in History. Guiding all over Greece for the past 25 years has been an unforgettable journey for me and it still is! My passion for culture, history, archaeology and religion in all its forms hailed me to travel all around the world and visit places far overseas. It led me to this wonderful profession which gives me the pleasure to show my country, to explore it again and again and to keep rediscovering it! If you wish to explore Athens by strolling around it's lovely neighbourhoods , witnessing the excitement of a fast-moving metropolis, or being immersed in history paths I will organise it for you and try to give you the best travel experience and make it as personal and unique as possible. The tour can be customised to your preferences. I look forward to meeting you and sharing with you the beauty of my country. I'm sure you will enjoy it as much as I do!! These trees cannot adjust to lesser sky, these stones cannot adjust beneath the tread of strangers, these faces cannot adjust unless they feel the sun, these hearts cannot adjust unless they live in justice. ( G. Ritsos) Aegina. This small island in the Saronic Gulf, barely an hour’s ferry ride from Athens, is a place where time seems to slow down, where the modern world hums gently in the background, but the whispers of ancient stories are never far away. This tour is about discovering one of the prettiest Greek islands in the Saronic gulf, and take a taste of the easy going life in a small town! The ruins of the temple of Aphaia perched high on a hill, stand like a silent sentinel. Its columns still reaching for the sky after centuries of storms and sun. Aegina’s relaxed vibe, coupled with its rich historical heritage, makes it an ideal destination for both history enthusiasts and those seeking peace by the sea.
1. Leave from Athens with a car and go to the port of Piraeus. 2. Take the boat for 1 hour in order to reach the island of Aegina. 3. Walk around the capital and visit the ancient port with it's prehistoric settlement. 4. Take a cab in order to visit one of the best preserved ancient temples of Greece. The temple, dedicated to the goddess Aphaia, is a masterpiece of classical Greek architecture, its simplicity and grace evoking a sense of timelessness. 5. Visit the biggest church of Greece dedicated to the St patron of the island and see the medieval capital of the island crowded with tiny chapels! 6. Return to the town with it's narrow alleys for lunch and some shopping. The island is famous for its pistachios, which are grown in abundance and considered some of the best in the world. 7. Take the hydrofoil 40' back to Athens.

I'll pick you up from your hotel and we'll take a cab to Piraeus, the port of Athens. We will go by boat. It takes 40' minutes for the island with the speed boat. On the island we will walk and use a cab or a mini van. On the way back we can either take the speed boat again or the regular boat which takes about an hour to reach Piraeus. From there we will take once more a cab to drive us back to the city.
