Acropolis temples and its new museum
Overview of your Athens tour
The Acropolis hill stands in the middle of the old and new city of Athens offering the best view not only of the temples built there but the surrounding ones too! We will visit the Propylaea, the main entrance and the temple of Athina Nike, the Parthenon, masterpiece of the 5 th BC Doric temple dedicated to the virgin Athena goddess, the Erechteion temple with the replicas of the Caryatides that we will view later at the museum, the Observatory tower with the greek flag and then stroll down through the most ancient theatre of the world, Dionyssos theatre and end our visit to the extraordinary new Acropolis museum. The 30% of the Acropolis sculptures and offerings are now exhibited in this amazing building designed by the famous Swiss architect Bernard Tsumi.
