Hello there ! I am Jérémie, full-time tour guide and holder of the professional Tour Guide card. I was born in Lyon in 1990 and I'm still in love with my hometown city. When I was a kid, I spent a lot of time exploring my city, reading stories about it, hearing my grand-mother telling me how the city was when she was my age. That's how you fall in love with a city. When I was 18, I went to University of Lyon to study History. I studied History for five years, lived in Canada for one year, then one year in Australia, came back here, graduated, and became a professional tour guide. Now, I'm working as a full time tour guide in and around my hometown. Best job ever if you ask me, especially when you're passionate about something: telling you all the stories I've learnt that make me think that Lyon and it's surrounding area is the best place in the world. So now, I'd like to welcome you in my city. I propose you a unique guided experience in Lyon private tours. Discover the hidden parts of Lyon that few people know about. Step back in time and follow me into the footsteps of the Canuts (the old silk weaving workers), in the traboules (secret passageways) of the Old Lyon or enjoy the lookouts over the city right next to the old roman vestiges of the Fourvière hill. I'm also doing wine and food tours. We're very lucky to have amazing wine countries right outside Lyon: Beaujolais in the North and Rhone valley wines in the south. Discover the Lyon countryside, as beautiful as ever, and rich in historical, culinary and wine-growing heritage. From the Beaujolais hills to the steep slopes of Côtes-Rôties, vineyards and winegrowers sublimate a terroir shaped for millennia. All of my tours can be tailored to your preferences. My goal for you is to enjoy a real experience with a local! 2008 - Bachelor Degree 2011 - Bachelor Licence of History University Lyon 2 2013 - Master Degree of History Université du Québec à Rimouski 2014 - Master Degree of History University Lyon 2 2015 - Professionnal Bachelor Licence of Tour Guide (Guide Conférencier) I do not have any restriction

Lyon is well known to be the capital of the lights. From the top of the Fourviere hill, we will admire the amazing sunset over Lyon, with all the colorful facades of the Peninsula turning orange and red. We'll explore the Basilica Notre Dame de Fourviere, the most iconic church of Lyon, then we'll walk down to the bottom of the hill to see the Old Town of Lyon, the renaissance district which is now protected by the UNESCO world heritage site. By this time, the beaufitul renaissance courtyards and buildings should slowly lights up, highlighting this surprising architecture. Then, we'll cross the Saone River, from where you'll see many districts of Lyon includind the Old Town, the two Hills (Fourviere and Croix Rousse) and the Peninsula). We'll stroll to the rhythm of the city, it's a fairly open tour that depends on your mood. One thing's for sure: we'll reach a bar where a tasting board with cheese and charcuterie and a glass of wine await you.
Depending on the season, this tour starts at different times ! Wintertime around 5PM, Summertime around 7pm or 8pm We also can arrange the start time of this tour depending on YOUR availabilities. The idea is to see the sunset and the city lights at night. We can start on the top of the Fourvière Hill, in front of the Basilica Notre-Dame de Fourviere or directly at YOUR accomodation. We walk to Vieux Lyon and stroll to the rhythm of the city, it's a fairly open tour that depends on your mood. One thing's for sure: we'll reach a bar where a tasting board with cheese and charcuterie and a glass of wine await you.
