Hello there ! I am Jérémie, full-time tour guide and holder of the professional Tour Guide card. I was born in Lyon in 1990 and I'm still in love with my hometown city. When I was a kid, I spent a lot of time exploring my city, reading stories about it, hearing my grand-mother telling me how the city was when she was my age. That's how you fall in love with a city. When I was 18, I went to University of Lyon to study History. I studied History for five years, lived in Canada for one year, then one year in Australia, came back here, graduated, and became a professional tour guide. Now, I'm working as a full time tour guide in and around my hometown. Best job ever if you ask me, especially when you're passionate about something: telling you all the stories I've learnt that make me think that Lyon and it's surrounding area is the best place in the world. So now, I'd like to welcome you in my city. I propose you a unique guided experience in Lyon private tours. Discover the hidden parts of Lyon that few people know about. Step back in time and follow me into the footsteps of the Canuts (the old silk weaving workers), in the traboules (secret passageways) of the Old Lyon or enjoy the lookouts over the city right next to the old roman vestiges of the Fourvière hill. I'm also doing wine and food tours. We're very lucky to have amazing wine countries right outside Lyon: Beaujolais in the North and Rhone valley wines in the south. Discover the Lyon countryside, as beautiful as ever, and rich in historical, culinary and wine-growing heritage. From the Beaujolais hills to the steep slopes of Côtes-Rôties, vineyards and winegrowers sublimate a terroir shaped for millennia. All of my tours can be tailored to your preferences. My goal for you is to enjoy a real experience with a local! 2008 - Bachelor Degree 2011 - Bachelor Licence of History University Lyon 2 2013 - Master Degree of History Université du Québec à Rimouski 2014 - Master Degree of History University Lyon 2 2015 - Professionnal Bachelor Licence of Tour Guide (Guide Conférencier) I do not have any restriction

This tour was great. Jeremie was very knowledgeable and entertaining. We greatly enjoyed our time. I would use his services again if I were in Lyon again.
Jeremie provided an informed and enjoyable tour with excellent tasting opportunities. We sampled a variety of meats and cheeses accompanied by wine. Jeremie has a true passion for Lyon and it shows during the tour.
Our guide Jeremie was extremely knowledgeable about the food culture in Lyon. The tastings were great. Only wish we wiuld have had time to stay after the tour and eat a larger meal in Halles of Lyon
Jeremie is warm, personable and shares his appreciation in a way that shaped all of our days in Lyon. We went to the Bocuse restaurant a few days after and everything he shared was alive in front of us. Jeremie shared the history of food in Lyon, the French national master artisans (Meilleur Ouvrier de France) who have shops in the Halles and left us loving the artisans and the food. The tastings were wonderful and just the right amount of food and wine. I would definitely recommend Jeremie.
Our holiday in Lyon was highlighted by our exceptional tour guide Jeremie. We had him for three days. The itinerary was perfectly paced and tailored to our needs. Jeremie was a wealth of knowledge, sharing fascinating insights about the region. His wonderful personality and passion for his work truly enhanced our experience, making the tour not just educational, but also incredibly enjoyable. In short, if you're seeking a tour guide in Lyon, Jeremie comes highly recommended.
Let's meet in front of the Halles Paul Bocuse, on Cours Lafayette. First part of the tour will be a general explanation of the local gastronomy, the history of the famous Lyon's mother and all the local specialties. Then we'll start to wander in the alleys of the Halles, discovering amazing artisans and craftsmen that makes the Lyon the world capital of gastronomy. Along the way, we'll have three tasting breaks at one of the 'Meilleurs ouvriers de France' (best craftsmen of France) which is a unique and prestigious award according to category of trades in a contest among professionals. Three tasting breaks are included in this tour. It's not as hearty as a dinner, but if you book this tour right after lunch, I'd still recommend saving some room!
Tell your guide which places matter to you, skip what doesn't, and tailor the experience for your group's needs. Not finding what you want? Message your guide to build something unique.
We meet in front of the Halles. I can also pick you up directly at your hotel if you need.
