Today will be spent on the magnificent and panoramic wine road of Alsace.

In the morning, you will visit the Haut Koenigsbourg Castle on your own. Then you will be driven to the beautiful medieval town of Riquewihr which did inspire Disney for his film "the beauty and the beast" and Kaysersberg, elected the most beloved French village in 2017. We will go straight to the interesting spots, directly in the historical part of those lovely towns, after some guidance, you will have plenty of time to appreciate those fairy tales spots at your own pace.

In between those "must see places", I will drive you through the most local and less known hamlets, isolated in the middle of the vineyard. You will enjoy the commentaries and local input, stopping in the most tiny and forgotten localities.

Before crossing the Rhine and the German border, you will be driving through Neuf-Breisach, the very last French fortified town, classified world's patrimonial heritage by the Unesco.

French native in love of Freiburg, your guide will show you all the local key points during a full walking tour in the medieval city's center. Discover the local street food market & the famous "Minster" (cathedral), you might want to taste the local beer, maybe one of the grilled sausages or the authentic black forestcake; your time is at leisure.

Then, we'll reach the hills of the Black forest and the village of Titisee. We will make a large stop a few hundred meters away from a beautiful altitude lake, the time for you to appreciate the cuckoo clock culture & all the local specialties.

In order to finish up the loop back to France, you will be driven through the most tiny villages around along the spectacular panoramic high road, and will enjoy the most beautiful preserved sceneries and hidden treasures of the area.

We know our way around and we are happy to take you to some special places.
This tour can be adjusted to the less experienced but is also a challenge for die hard wine amateurs.
Regarding the wineries: we will visit a large cooperation and some small independent (organic and biological) wineries. At the end of the day you will have tasted samples of all great white wines and some rose and red Pinot noirs. You will taste and compare a lot of grand cru's and some late harvest wines.

This tour will give you the unique opportunity in Alsace, to be immerged in this recent sorrowful history.

The morning will be dedicated to experience the battlefield of WWI, located on the top mountains of the Vosges. You will have the one opportunity to walk inside the originals trenches, to learn about the tragic history that did provide 9 millions of casualties in 4 years, to visit the memorial and military cemetery, standing on that sadly famous spot.

In the afternoon, fascinated by the WWII's veterans that I had the privilege to drive back where they fought, I invite you to follow the steps of the 3rd US Infantry Division and the First French Army, for the liberation of Alsace.
Visit the museum of the « pocket of Colmar » in the charming village of Turkheim, & learn everything about the most difficult fights of the winter 1944-1945, the hardest winter of the 20th century.

This tour provides an excellent excuse to drive through the most scenical "route des crètes", at the top of the Vosges mountains.
