Estérel Mountains & Dramont Beach - Private Tour

During this tour you will see picturesque places with nice sceneries of the sea and also the red mountains of Estérel. 250 million years ago, during a tectonic plate movement, the earth cracked deeply allowing the lava to rise to the surface and thus giving rise to this purple rock, the rhyolite (or red porphyry): the Estérel was born!

After this magnificent road, you will join the city of Saint-Raphael/Fréjus. You will have the choice to visit either Saint-Raphael city with its Cathedral or Port-Fréjus which is more than a simple marina!

In our way back, we will also take a stop at Dramont Beach which was one of the main landing sites in Provence. On August 15, 1944, on the pebble beach, 20, 000 soldiers of the 36th Texas Division of the American army landed here in less than 10 hours with tanks and heavy artillery.
