Lyon City Tour with transportation

Jeremie is a great guide! Knowledgeable, enthusiastic and clearly full of admiration for his city of Lyon. He covered the history of the silk trade that was a crucial part of the city’s history, the extensive large-scale murals around the city and the meaning behind them, and the culinary history of Lyon, as well as taking us into traboules and discussing their history and function. By the end of his tour, I had a far better understanding of the history and culture of Lyon. He even got us a last-minute reservation at a very good traditional Lyonnais bouchon.

Jérémie gave us a superb tour of Lyon the afternoon of our first day there. Because he provided transportation, we were able to visit the major areas of the city (Fourvière, the Old City, and the Croix Rousse), which was an excellent introduction to the activities we planned for the rest of the week. Jérémie was extremely knowledgeable about the history and sights of Lyon, and we enjoyed his narration. We were particularly impressed by the murals that he described to us in detail. Jérémie made reservations for us at a restaurant he recommended and also set up an English tour of the Soierie Vivante weaving workshops for the following day. We highly recommend Jérémie to any English-speaking travelers visiting Lyon.

We thoroughly enjoyed Jeremie's Lyon driving tour with periodic stops to view the sites. Jeremie is deeply knowledgeable about the history and archaeology of Lyon which he delivers in an entertaining and witty manner. He described the growth of the city through the ages, the reason for the traboules in Vieux Lyon, and told us of more current political/governmental decisions that have made an impact on the city. He is a careful driver and very considerate in caring for his touring guests.
