Hello there ! I am Jérémie, full-time tour guide and holder of the professional Tour Guide card. I was born in Lyon in 1990 and I'm still in love with my hometown city. When I was a kid, I spent a lot of time exploring my city, reading stories about it, hearing my grand-mother telling me how the city was when she was my age. That's how you fall in love with a city. When I was 18, I went to University of Lyon to study History. I studied History for five years, lived in Canada for one year, then one year in Australia, came back here, graduated, and became a professional tour guide. Now, I'm working as a full time tour guide in and around my hometown. Best job ever if you ask me, especially when you're passionate about something: telling you all the stories I've learnt that make me think that Lyon and it's surrounding area is the best place in the world. Discover the two northernmost crus of the Rhône Valley, Côte-Rôtie and Condrieu! It is on these steep hillsides that Syrah and Viognier, two native grape varieties of the region, flourish. We'll drive up the hills where you'll be amazed to witness very impressive steep slopes with terraces and vineyards. In this magnificent countryside, you'll find one the finest wines of Cotes du Rhône wine appellation: Côtes-Roties and Condrieu. We'll meet local winegrowers for two wine tasting. All the producers that I work with, usually family size business, will share their stories and passion about their estate, their wines, and you'll have the time to chat with them! Jeremie was an excellent guide. He is very knowledgable and he did a great job teaching us about the wine production in the area. The winery visits were chosen well, and we have accomplished our goal of learning more about the wines of the Northern Rhône
We set up an afternoon tour of Cote Rotie with Jeremie. It was excellent. He is very knowledgeable on Lyon and the region and knows the wines quite well. He took us to smaller wineries and had to do a lot of the translation for us, which went very well. We were very happy with the day.
Jeremie was a delightful tour guide. He was communicative and punctual leading up to our meeting. The tour itself was very interesting and felt intimate. Our group got to taste wines from 2 vineyards and learn about the history of the region. Would very much recommend!
Jeremie gave us a great tour of the Northern Rhone vineyard area. Since he knew that we were wine makers, his explanations of everything from terroir to growing/harvesting methods were tailored to our very specific interests. We were able to tour a vineyard, as well as speak with a winemaker who was taking samples to judge when to harvest. The whole outing was terrific.
Absolutely excellent tour. Jeremy was very knowledgeable about the whole area we covered. He taught us about the different wines in the region. He made our afternoon, very enjoyable and informative. And also very accommodating with my Wheelchair. Would highly recommend.
