Explore Amiens your way

At ToursByLocals, we believe that how you explore is just as important as where you go. That’s why every Amiens tour is private, flexible, and built around you: Move at your own pace, skip the crowds, make connections and follow your curiosity. Find local guides offering private tours in Amiens for every interest, including:

History tours: Step inside Notre-Dame d’Amiens to spot the Weeping Angel and the 13th‑century labyrinth, then compare Gothic details up close from a guide’s preferred vantage points. You could pair the cathedral with the Maison de Jules Verne and the Musée de Picardie, or climb the Beffroi to hear stories of guilds, wars, and how the river shaped daily life.

City highlights tours: Wander the Saint‑Leu neighbourhood along the canals, pause on Quai Bélu for a pichet and a view of the colourful houses, and sample macarons d’Amiens at Maison Trogneux. Your guide can arrange a flat‑bottom boat through the Hortillonnages floating gardens, time a visit for the water market in season, and show you a favourite photo stop by Tour Perret at sunset.

Amiens’ historic centre is compact and walkable, with local Ametis buses and NEMO lines for longer hops. If you prefer door‑to‑door comfort, ask about chauffeured tours or private transportation built into your tours.

This isn’t a one-size-fits-all itinerary, you can tailor your private tour to match your interests, pace and personality with a local who knows Amiens inside and out.
