Hello there ! I am Jérémie, full-time tour guide and holder of the professional Tour Guide card. I was born in Lyon in 1990 and I'm still in love with my hometown city. When I was a kid, I spent a lot of time exploring my city, reading stories about it, hearing my grand-mother telling me how the city was when she was my age. That's how you fall in love with a city. When I was 18, I went to University of Lyon to study History. I studied History for five years, lived in Canada for one year, then one year in Australia, came back here, graduated, and became a professional tour guide. Now, I'm working as a full time tour guide in and around my hometown. Best job ever if you ask me, especially when you're passionate about something: telling you all the stories I've learnt that make me think that Lyon and it's surrounding area is the best place in the world. So now, I'd like to welcome you in my city. I propose you a unique guided experience in Lyon private tours. Discover the hidden parts of Lyon that few people know about. Step back in time and follow me into the footsteps of the Canuts (the old silk weaving workers), in the traboules (secret passageways) of the Old Lyon or enjoy the lookouts over the city right next to the old roman vestiges of the Fourvière hill. I'm also doing wine and food tours. We're very lucky to have amazing wine countries right outside Lyon: Beaujolais in the North and Rhone valley wines in the south. Discover the Lyon countryside, as beautiful as ever, and rich in historical, culinary and wine-growing heritage. From the Beaujolais hills to the steep slopes of Côtes-Rôties, vineyards and winegrowers sublimate a terroir shaped for millennia. All of my tours can be tailored to your preferences. My goal for you is to enjoy a real experience with a local! 2008 - Bachelor Degree 2011 - Bachelor Licence of History University Lyon 2 2013 - Master Degree of History Université du Québec à Rimouski 2014 - Master Degree of History University Lyon 2 2015 - Professionnal Bachelor Licence of Tour Guide (Guide Conférencier) I do not have any restriction

The northern part of the Rhone valley is well known for its magnificent hilly countrysides, full of vineyards and one of the finest wines you can find in Cotes du Rhone, such as Côtes-Rôtes, Condrieu, St Joseph, Cornas and Hermitage. We'll be heading toward the south of Lyon following the beautiful shores of the Rhone River and then driving up the hills where you'll be amazed to witness very impressive steep slopes with terraces and vineyards. There we'll meet local winegrowers for a wine tasting. All the producers that I work with, usually family size business, will share their stories and passion about their estate, their wines, and you'll have the time to chat with them! Then, we'll be driving to the legendary Hermitage Hill, and try different wines. Together, we'll try to understand the history of the wines of this area, the origins of the shiraz, the legend of the Hermitage Hill, and the terroir of these wine appellations. Two wine tastings are included in this tour.
•9:00 We'll leave from Lyon. •9:45 We'll drive through the beautiful hills of Côtes-Rôties, enjoying amazing lookouts over the Rhône River and the French Alps (and Mont Blanc too!) •10:30 We'll reach the first winery, near Côte rôtie/Condrieu wines, meet with the local winegrowers, understand the vinifaction, and taste their wines. •11:30 We'll keep driving south along the Rhone river until we reach Tain l'Hermitage, at the bottom of the legendary Hermitage Hill •12:30 Lunch in Tain l'Hermitage, in a nice restaurant owned by famous winemaker Chapoutier. •14:00: We'll drive to the top of the Hermitage Hill and walk to the Chapel, right in the middle of the historical vineyards of Chapoutier and Paul Jaboulay. The view from the top is stunning, facing toward the river, the plains of Crozes Hermitage, the hills of Saint Joseph, Cornas, and the French Alps far in the East. •15:30: We'll go to a second winery, where we'll taste the amazing Hermitage, Crozes-Hermitage •17:45: Back to Lyon Depends on the traffic
