Hello there! My name is Noémie. I'm from Britany, and have lived in Lyon for 8 years. I came to study and then never left! In my spare time, I love to perform on improv shows, to cook, and to go hiking (I even began the Way of St James!). I also spend time with one of my seven sisters, who also lives there. I became a professional guide in 2021 and chose this job because I like to learn new things every day, enjoy meeting new people, and speak foreign languages. As a student in Lyon, I loved spending time in the Musée des Confluences, and I always dreamed about working there. My dream came true! We have one of the nicest views! And I love seeing people amazed by what they are discovering. I love my city because there is always something to do. You can shop for locally made objects, wander in the cobbled old streets, refresh near the rivers, rest in the Parc de la tête d'Or, or eat an ice cream (you just have to choose between more than 50 tastes)! So I put myself in your shoes to create the perfect tour to discover the must-see but also off the beaten tracks and have a real taste of French culture! For me, a guided tour is a shared moment, a unique human experience. I want us to spend a good time, and feel like you were one of my friends visiting. I will also share with you my recommendations for your stay in the city, depending on what you like, of course. I look forward to meeting you in my beautiful city :)

Let's sail with me on the Saone, to follow one of the river that changes the course of Lyon history. Cradle of the city, we'll have a view on the Unesco World Heritage monuments. After 1h30 on the boat, we'll continue walking on the waterfront in the Confluence area. Extraordinary contemporary architectures will transport us to the sugar industry in Lyon and the conquest of water to the confluence. A 'boatiful' way to discover Lyon! Seasonal tour: from March to the 2nd of November.
- We'll start by boarding on the boat. - We'll sail towards the North, to admire the oldest part of the city : St John's cathedral, Fourvière basilica, Justice palace... - We'll get off the boat, and continue walking on the Saone waterfront, an old swamp area, drained over the years to expand the city. - We'll stop in front of the old sugar warehouse, testimony of 70 years of activity. - We'll then have a look on different strange monuments : the one called gruyère (like the Swiss cheese) or the green cube that host Euronews head office. - We'll walk around the Confluences museum to discover its particular shape and history. - We'll finish the tour by admiring the view on the confluence where the two rivers comes together. During the tour, I will be pleased to recommend you good restaurants, or other things to visit during your stay in Lyon.
