Hello there ! I am Jérémie, full-time tour guide and holder of the professional Tour Guide card. I was born in Lyon in 1990 and I'm still in love with my hometown city. When I was a kid, I spent a lot of time exploring my city, reading stories about it, hearing my grand-mother telling me how the city was when she was my age. That's how you fall in love with a city. When I was 18, I went to University of Lyon to study History. I studied History for five years, lived in Canada for one year, then one year in Australia, came back here, graduated, and became a professional tour guide. Now, I'm working as a full time tour guide in and around my hometown. Best job ever if you ask me, especially when you're passionate about something: telling you all the stories I've learnt that make me think that Lyon and it's surrounding area is the best place in the world. Right next to Lyon lies the charming Vienne, a small city full of history along the Rhone river. Let's explore the hidden treasures of the city, from the Roman vestiges to the Pipet Hill. Between the Roman temples and the Cathedral lies so many legends…can we find the treasures of the Templars? Then, we'll cross the river and drive up the hills where you'll be amazed to witness very impressive steep slopes with terraces and vineyards. In this magnificent countryside, you'll find one the finest wines of Cotes du Rhône wine appellation: Côtes-Roties and Condrieu. We'll meet local winegrowers for a wine tasting. All the producers that I work with, usually family size business, will share their stories and passion about their estate, their wines, and you'll have the time to chat with them! We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to Vienne with Jeremie. He was very flexible to accommodate our particular interests, knowledgeable, entertaining, great communication. Vienne is an amazing place and well worth spending more than half a day.
