HOLA! Welcome to Mexico City that once was called the City of Palaces! and still remains so. . . Many people believe that one of the best ways to get to know a place is one of the easiest - JUST WALK AROUND IT! Yes, Mexico City is huge , walkable and still unknown in many aspects by foreigners and even locals. As a Mexico City born I know the ways to get around the city and I have been working as tour guide since 2007 with people from all over the world and in different languages: English, French, German and of course Spanish. Also I have designed itineraries for visitors travelling on business or for pleasure. Having traveled to 30 countries in 4 continents becoming also a TRAVELER . I am one of very few CERTIFIED tour guides by The Mexican ministry of Tourism that is also a SOMMELIER (wine professional). Lived in France for a few years where I started lo learn about the fascinating world of wine and specialized in Traditional Mezcales. I have visited several communities that produce small-batch in the traditional way , have contact direct contact with producers and also support some projects to continue with a tradition that is threatened by all industrialized productions. I Love a cup of a cup of great coffee that's why I am getting deeper knowledge about Specialty coffee , visiting coffee shops not only in Mexico but also when I travel abroad Enjoy my tours Certified tour guide by the Mexican Ministry of Tourism (SECTUR) International Relations bachelor's degree by UNAM ( Latin America's most important University) Sommelier by Fundación Sommeliers Traditional Mezcales connaisseur Specialty Coffee connaisseur None

Overview of your Mexico City tour

Take this tour that can only be done ONCE a year! This celebration is by far the most important for many Mexicans In no other country in the world the "Day of the dead" is actually LIVED like here in Mexico. It is a colorful celebration despite its name and when people remember their deceased loved ones. A mix of Prehispanic and Spanish traditions. This tour is ONLY OFFERED 2 days in the year : on the 1st and 2nd November, as people only go to cemeteries these days for the real traditional day of the dead

Very good morning spent with Antonio Got excellent information about history of Day of the Dead Catrinas, and Mexican tradition. Really liked leaving City center on metro to go to a cemetery in a barrio our guide grew up in. Flower market was an explosion of color. Highly recommend

Antonio's Unique Day Of The Dead tour was truly a remarkable experience. From visiting a local cemetery to a neighbourhood market, there was never a dull moment. Antonio is kind, informative and able to convey the true meaning behind Día de Muertos. Antonio is a fantastic guide that absolutely makes this tour unforgettable. This is a tour that is a must do if you are in Mexico City at the right time!

It was a beautiful day with Antonio! He was VERY punctual meeting us at the metro station (punctuality is not common in latin america I know!), then he explained every detail on the mexican transportation system; we went to the Flower Market Jamaica, afterwards to an insider Tip Cafe at a nice neighbourhood.. and we did that day more that we planned and ended in another insider tip for lunch... Thank you so much Antonio! My family will never forget our Trip to Mexico!

Being a part of this tradition was one of the most beautiful things I ever saw. We traveled via public bus and subway (the subway station was immaculately clean, a nice little added surprise) . The cemetery we visited was full of people placing flowers and decorating their loved ones graves which was overwhelmingly special to witness. Of course, it only happens 2 days in the year so you MUST reserve with him well in advance. The 1st day is for "children" who departed and the 2nd day is for adults.

This was an amazing experience. Antonio shared a great deal about the history and cultural aspects of The Day of the Dead. We saw families celebrating their departed loved ones, and it was a very moving experience. Highly recommend.

Your Mexico City tour itinerary

We visit a traditional market to see what people buy for these days to prepare their altars at home and what they take to the cemetery, taste the traditional day of the HOME MADE dead bread as here it is traditional to bake their own and families and vendors have decades and generations baking it , we also try some fruit, we may get some sugar skulls for home and may even get one with your name then visit a cemetery where you see how tombs are decorated , people bringing tons of flowers to the tombs, eating food and drinking. Experiencing this colorful , vibrant, respectful and even shocking ( for outsiders)
