Let’s visit Coyoacán one of the most colorful and bohemian neighborhoods in the city! Our day can start at a market or at the museum depending on the availability of the tickets, the blue house is one of the biggest attractions of Mexico City and Frida is considered the most important Mexican painter until nowadays, her history is fascinating, the blue house is the place where she was born, she grew up, fall in love and passed away, let me share some of her story with you and explore her neighborhood and the one I grew up in. Let’s wander through some markets, Traditional markets in México are extremely important because they still show some of our ancient heritage and traditions, you are able to find local fruits, vegetables, food, and even handmade art crafts, so if you are looking for traditional souvenirs to take home this is a must! Finally, I will take you for a drink or a snack in a local restaurant or a Mexican cantina!
Our party of 4 took the Frida Kahlo's house and Coyoacan tour with Ana. It was a wonderful day, and Ana went out of her way to accommodate any of our interests. We stayed for lunch after the tour in Coyoacan before heading back to our hotel in Roma Norte. We love tours by locals tours, and Ana represents the personalized treatment they are known for. Recommend
We had an incredible time with Ana! We booked last minute and she was able to make a custom itinerary for us. She was extremely knowledgeable about the artists, the history of Mexico city and the culture. We went to multiple locations and pick-up and drop-offs were all easy with her driver and van. I would absolutely book Ana again, she was friendly, fun and easygoing. What an amazing way to see Mexico City!
We had a great day with Ana. She had a wonderful suggestion to start off with a visit to the modern art museum to see art works by Frida Kahlo, Diego Rivera and other Mexican artists which really set the stage for our visit to the Frida Kahlo house. Coyoacan is a charming and historic area of the city, and Ana was an amazing and knowledgeable guide with a great personality! She shared so much interesting information with us about the area’s historical and artistic heritage, and we loved visiting the Coyoacan market also. We highly recommend her!
I can’t recommend Ana enough!! I first met her last year when my brother and sister were in Mexico City and hired her as a guide. She is kind and the breadth of her knowledge is vast. This year I booked her for a tour of the Coyoacán neighborhood in Mexico City when my husband and I visited the city. I really don’t have the language to express how fulfilling our day with her was. She is one of the best guides we have ever had.
The tour with Ana was incredible! Ana was so communicative before the tour and offered recommendations and ideas. Upon booking, she immediately bought our tickets for the Frida Kahlo house, which was sold out for the next month by the time we arrived. First we went to the San Angel market, which is filled with local vendors selling incredibly high quality, locally made goods. Needless to say, my luggage got a little heavier than I'd anticipated. Ana's knowledge of Frida Kahlo's history & life story made the visit to her house so much more meaningful. She told us the story behind the stories presented for public consumption. It was moving, informative & so much fun. She is a fascinating, intelligent person, and she generously shared her life experiences and knowledge of Mexico City. She even recommended a great restaurant in our neighborhood. Highly recommended!
Ana was an amazing tour person, She is a walking library of knowledge, her english is close to perfect and easy to understand, I highly recomend eating in the mercado and letting her guide you.
