Hot air baloon flight over Teotihuacan

First the hot air balloon is a must! Sunrise, misted temples, numerous fellow balloonists fill the skies. The on site touring guide, Carlo B. was trained in history (see his profile) and led a highly educational walk-ing tour, complete with a moon pyramid ascension. He then took us to La Gruta, a massive cave/ restaurant with excellent breakfast brunch options reflecting multiple Mexican food types. Placing a lit candle in the cave after the meal symbolizes rebirth, renewal and shedding of negative energy. Our guide made all this process smooth, efficient and understandable. Learning of the Teotihuacan culture of 500 years duration placed a new perspective in our lives that we will continue to process for some time.

Carlos is definitely a very fun tour guide and made our trip all that more enjoyable! He is very knowledgeable and shared that in a fun way!

Carlo was very knowledgable and customized the tour for us. We had a wonderful discussion about the history of Teotihuacan and how it impacted the lives of the people of Tenochitlan and even modern Mexicans. He kept us entertained and made sure that the balloon ride and tour of the park were both a great experience.
