Ana was such a wonderful guide! Her knowledge and love for Mexico City was apparent the moment we met her. Even before our tour meet up, she was very responsive in answering questions that I had as to the itinerary for the day. Due to an unexpected political rally in the area that we were visiting, she suggested an alternative plan that worked wonderfully. By the end of the day, it didn’t feel as if she were our guide rather our new friend in Mexico City!

What is it like to become fully immersed in the culture, the neighborhood, and the intricate functionality of a natural ecosystem thriving in the midst of one of the largest cities in the world? If you want to experience all of this, then you need to spend a day—or better yet, 2-3 days—allowing Ms. Ana to guide you through the area she knows intimately: the extraordinary Xochimilco Canals. This is far more than a tour. Ms. Ana doesn't just lead visitors through these ancient waterways; she works within this community and has taken on significant responsibility in preserving the delicate biosphere that somehow still flourishes within Mexico City's metropolitan landscape. The floating gardens, the wildlife preservation efforts, the vibrant energy of the local markets—all become focal points of your time with her. Her knowledge runs deep, her passion is evident, and her connections to this place are authentic and meaningful. If you can book time with Ms. Ana, you will not be disappointed. She is a true cultural and environmental attaché—someone who bridges worlds and opens doors to experiences most visitors would never find on their own. Highly recommended for anyone seeking a genuine, meaningful connection to one of Mexico City's most treasured landscapes.

Ana was such an amazing host. Her knowledge of the area, the history and the her relationships with the people made this tour so much more personal. We ended up having a total of 3 tours with her, and have recommended her to everyone else we know.

Our tour guide, Ana, was fantastic.! Our group was very garden-oriented, so visiting the plant market, and one of the farms on the islands, was so interesting.

Excellent tour. We learned a lot and enjoyed our time at the markets, visiting the floating gardens and talking with Ana. Ana was very responsive and responsible, and customized our tour to allow us to visit the Frida Khalo Museum as well. She was also interesting to talk to, and we learned a great deal about Mexican history and culture. We definitely recommend this tour.
