I lived in Florence; Italy for 8 years, I took classes of italian and art history The Lorenzo de Medici Institute. The fact of being far away from my country made me appreciate the wonders like a place like Mexico has to offer in terms of traditions, places, festivities and gastronomy. I have a big interest in Mexican History and also like art history a lot. Whether you are a first time visitor or seasoned traveller as a qualified guide I aim to help you make your visit interesting and unique. Something different: I can organized cooking classes with tour included, so you can learn, cook and eat the most typical dishes of mexican cuisine, given by a well known chef. Museums are closed on mondays in Mexico city. Booking must be made with two weeks in advance for the tour to Frida Kahlo's Museum. * This tour is subject to availability* *Please book with at least one month of anticipation* Frida Kahlo's personality thrills me! I will share with you her places, secrets and some of her inner passions that she undoubtedly reflect in her work. With me, you will be able to witness a very important side of her. Then, we will get a feel of a colonial neighborhood by visiting Coyoacan where the mexican flavor still remains despite modernity. You will get to try some traditional mexican chocolate or coffee, some famous water ice cream made with fruits, or some churros ( deep-fried pastry coated with sugar and cinnamon). I'll also take you to visit a church of the XVI century and then stop by the handicrafts market. Get to know the atmosphere of this traditional neighborhood while we visit the amazing Diego Rivera's Studio in San Angel Neighborhood, where he painted most of his work in canvas and see his enthusiasm about mexican art and craft.
