Private tour to Teotihuacan

Diego was awesome and to be honest we couldn't say enough good things about him. His knowledge of Mexican history was wide ranging and he has a way of taking complex informafion and making it easy to understand. We had a lot of ground to cover on our tour and Diego kept us on time without making us feel rushed. Our tour with Diego was truly a highlight of our several days stay in Mexico City.

My husband and I had an outstanding experience touring Teotihuacan and other sites with Diego. He was knowledgeable, professional, friendly, and extremely well organized from start to finish. His English was excellent, which made the history and cultural significance of the pyramids easy to understand and genuinely fascinating. What really stood out was his ability to make the sites we visited come alive with stories, context, and details I never would have appreciated on my own. We had a great day with Diego. He was incredibly knowledgeable and gave us many insights into Mexico City and Mexico's history. We traveled with our two kids (under 7 years old) and our oldest thoroughly enjoyed the information shared via a story.

He is a talented communicator, with fluent and nuanced English (and a bit of a mischievous sense of humor, which we appreciated). He both has done lots of research and challenges orthodoxies, while also appropriately acknowledging the limitations of his own (and in some cases, anyone's) knowledge. In addition to weaving together some resonant themes about Mexican and Mesoamerican identity across the three stops, he was also widely knowledgeable about various topics and willing to engage on those as well. As noted on his profile, this includes a background as a professional brewer as well as a food guide, and we are grateful for the on point recommendations he was willing to share. We would highly recommend booking with Diego for cultural (food/drink) and historical tours.

Diego was a great fit for us, explaining the meaning of Tlatelolco, the Basilica and Teotihuacan to Mexico's rich heritage, while also frankly correcting the many myths people often have about them. We came away from our tour with a much deeper understanding of the places we saw, and the country we were visiting. We are grateful to have had such a smart, courteous, and engaging partner in our travels!
