Hello Amigos! Join me to explore unique experiences. I am an historian and great connoisseur of Art, Architecture, Culture, Museums, Food, Traditions and Lifestyles of Mexico City. I started guiding and sharing my passion of mexican culture when I finished university in 2016 , and since then I have been collaborating with several tour companies. By doing this I discovered the importance of having not only a tour guide, as a traveller you will need a LOCAL FRIEND that can give you any detail about what to do, eat, see, and visit in my city. With my professional experience, my passion for my country and my pride for my culture you will get more than a tour service, you will receive safety, fun, interesting, customized and enriching experiences, ¡ 100% guaranteed ! For the above, I would love to guide you around my city and show you more than of the classic sites, I will also share with you the hidden and fascinating not so known details. I plan carefully every activity for any special request that you might have, so I am happy to customize and offer a memorable experience, so I encourage you to contact me and have a great time while visiting Mexico city. - Major in History by the UNAM (Latin America's Most Important University). - Licesend Tour Guide by the Ministry of Tourism of Mexico - Specialization Course in Mexican Art History by the UNAM and Amparo Museum (2020) - First Aid Certification (2022, 2018). - Course by the Mexican Health Minister in: Tourism: Safe return (Sept 2020) - For larger groups, more than 6 we have to use a Rented Van with private driver, so this will cause an increase in the price of the tours.

Nature, local customs and habits and artistic bohemia will be our hosts in this private experience that will show you the life, controversy and aesthetic of Frida Kahlo and Diego Rivera. We will start exploring the Xochimilco area, the famous floating gardens, I really enjoy this place because there is simply too much to see, it always thrills me how not a long time ago locals used the waterways for agriculture and commerce, and even now a days. Then, my favorite part, the streets of Coyoacan, its markets, architecture, traditions, flavors and culture, will be walking with us, like Frida and Diego did between 1920's to 1950's. You can be sure I'll do my best to make this tour an incredible experience.

Jose Luis was wonderful guide to the UNAM campus. He was very knowledgeable about the campus murals particularly the exquisite Juan O’Gorman mosaic murales on all four sides of the UNAM library building. He patiently described the stories, symbols and history represented by the murals. Jose Luis is an excellent, safe driver which was important to us as the UNAM campus was quite a distance from our hotel in Polanco. Finally we appreciated his familiarity with the location of bathroom facilities on the drive to and from ÚNAM. Our Starbucks stop was very welcomed.
Jose is a very enthusiastic guide who clearly loves the Mexican culture and is extremely knowledgeable about the history of Mexico. We spent a full day with him. I would not hesitate to recommend him to anyone who wants a comprehensive introduction to Mexican culture.
We enjoyed a fun, informative day with Jose Luis, starting at the university where we saw the multi-media murals. As an UNAM graduate, Jose Luis was able to share a little about his experience and talk about the educational process in Mexico. The highlight was seeing Deigo Rivera's last mural. Then we moved on to the floating gardens and canals at Xochimilco, where we could imagine what the area was like when this area was still a lake and agriculture was primary. Since we were there on a weekday morning, we also had to imagine what the party is like today. It's probably really fun, but we were glad to be there when it was quieter. The best part of the day was exploring Coyoacan, where Jose Luis helped us find a great seafood lunch in the marketplace, and Frida Kahlo's House. Jose Luis reviewed Frida's life story and her incredible art. Jose Luis expertly brought it all together.
Another excellent tour by Jose Luis. We particularly enjoyed walking around in Coyoacan, the food at the market, and the Frida Kalho museum.
Excellent tour to discover Mexico City. Jose Luis is a phenomenal guide with deep knowledge of the city and its unique history. Highly recommend Jose Luis for his positive spirit and energy
