¡Hola! I'm Silvia, a proud Mexico City native tour guide, and I'm currently calling this vibrant city my home sweet home. As a historian, I've fallen head over heels for the tapestry of Mexico's history, culture, customs, traditions, and mouthwatering gastronomy. I'm here to dish out all the delightful details to the inquisitive travelers who venture our way. Back in my university days, art history swept me off my feet. That's what sparked my journey into unraveling the secrets behind the world's most pivotal artistic movements and iconic figures, both on a global scale and right here in Mexico. Fast forward to 2016, the year I took my first steps into the enchanting world of museums as a weekend guide. It was an eye-opener: I discovered my love for connecting with people and sharing the riches of our Mexican heritage! In 2019, I proudly earned my first tourist guide license, and ever since, I've been teaming up with various tour companies to unveil the sheer awesomeness and unparalleled uniqueness of Mexico, including its warm-hearted inhabitants and tasty gastronomy. Beyond my historical escapades, you'll often find me nose-deep in captivating books, jet-setting to far-flung destinations, immersing myself in the artistry housed within museums, mastering new languages, expressing my creativity through drawing, and savoring quality time with my cherished friends. I'm a genuine people person and love connecting with folks from all corners of the world! Now, let's talk about my love affair with Mexico City! It's an ever-evolving playground of captivating and enjoyable experiences, thanks to its boundless diversity and ceaseless liveliness. The magnetic atmosphere keeps me perpetually inspired, and I'm on a perpetual quest to uncover fresh and unconventional gems with every outing. In recent years, I’ve embraced the adventure of solo travel across Mexico, uncovering its hidden treasures and connecting deeply with its vibrant cultures. This heartfelt journey has not only enriched my understanding but also deepened my love for the beautiful country that is my home. In 2024, I had the chance of stepping into religious tourism for the first time, co-leading pilgrimage groups from Poland. Together, we beautifully wove Catholic faith with culture, history, and joyful moments across Mexico City, Puebla, Querétaro, Taxco, and Acapulco. Since then, I have come to understand more deeply the travelers who come to our country with heartfelt devotion, accompanying them not only as a guide but also as a respectful witness to their faith. Along the way, I have also grown to appreciate the richness of Polish culture and its beautiful language, which I continue to learn with genuine enthusiasm and affection, although I'm still at a baby level! In a nutshell, I consider myself a friendly, perpetually enthusiastic, and wonderfully empathetic individual who always seeks the silver lining in every twist and turn of life's grand adventure. Whether you're a history fan, a globetrotter, or simply craving positive vibes, let's embark on a thrilling journey through the magic of Mexico together! 2015 - B.A in History (UNAM-National Autonomous University of Mexico/Faculty of Philosophy and Literature) 2018 - License as a Specialized Tour Guide in Mexico City and Teotihuacan (Ministry of Tourism in Mexico) 2021 - License as a General Tour Guide (Ministry of Tourism in Mexico) I'm not a driver, but I can arrange for a separate car and driver.

Enjoy with me, a historian, a captivating journey at one of the most beautiful museums in Mexico, where history, culture, and art converge in harmony. Let's meet at the museum and prepare to be transported through time. Explore the awe-inspiring pre-Columbian art collection created by talented artisans from ancient times, and admire amazing masterpieces. On this guided tour, we'll admire some of the most incredible monoliths such as the Aztec Solar Stone, an emblem of ancient wisdom, and stand in awe of the colossal Olmec heads, guardians of secrets lost in time. You'll get some insights into the valuable heritage of our ancestors in Mesoamerica that still lingers in Mexican culture, a civilization that once thrived here. Learn in detail and marvel at intricate Mayan jade masks, unique Zapotec gold jewelry, and breathtaking pottery and sculptures. Get ready to unlock the mysteries of Mexico's rich heritage in this remarkable institution of knowledge and inspiration!
Silvia was GREAT. We totally changed the plan after the tour started and she handled it with absolutely no problems and we had a GREAT time! Sooooo knowledgeable.
Our visit to the Anthropology Museum was unforgettable thanks to Sylvia. The museum can feel overwhelming, but she brought every exhibit to life with engaging stories, historical context, and visual references. Her knowledge is impressive, and her enthusiasm is contagious. She patiently conducted the entire tour in Spanish at our request, helping us improve our language skills while making sure we understood everything. We learned far more than we ever expected.
We spent two days with Silvia and she was wonderful. She had great energy and related well with adult and younger members of our group. Knowledgeable and flexible with our timing needs. Quick to reply. I am happy to recommend Silvia
Silvia led us on a deep dive into the exhibits of one of the greatest museums in the world. It would be impossible to see the entire museum in a half-day, but she prioritized the most important aspects, teaching us about Mexico's history, including the Aztecs and Mayans but other Mexican pre-Spanish civilizations as well. Her knowledge is impressive, and she is very enthusiastic.
Sylvia was a great guide. She had a great knowledge of history and was able to contextualize what we were seeing in the Chatapultec Castle and the anthropology museum.
Like all of the other reviews here, we found Silvia to be outstanding. Extremely knowledgeable and personable, she took us to all of the highlights of the museum, explaining their meaning and relevance to each other and to modern Mexico. The museum itself can be somewhat overwhelming in its scope and size; if we had tried to tackle it without a guide of Silvia's depth, we would not have seen or understood many of the most important artifacts. Three hours flew by, and we actually felt refreshed rather than exhausted (like three hours in any museum can do to someone). She was also checking in periodically to see how we were doing and if we needed breaks at any point. We did several tours in Mexico City, and Silvia was the best guide we had.
