Planning to visit Tokyo after summer? For the summer season, I'm only displaying my shorter indoor tour. However, my regular 4-hour and 6-hour private tours will be available again from October. If you're planning an autumn trip, I'd be delighted to hear from you. Please feel free to send me a message! ------------------------------- Hi there! I’m Kumi, your friendly guide. My big, happy smile will be the first thing you see when we meet, and I promise it will set the tone for a fun and relaxed adventure together. Here’s a quick riddle for you: Q. If you need a tour guide and a professional photographer, how many people do you need? A. Just one—Kumi! Not only will I guide you through the best spots, but I’ll also capture your journey with stunning photos that you can cherish forever. My photography has received rave reviews, and I’ll send you beautifully edited JPEGs after the tour. If you’re into photography, I’d love to share tips to help you capture amazing shots too! But it’s not just about the photos. My tours are all about creating joyful moments and making sure you feel cared for every step of the way. Whether you’re discovering hidden gems, enjoying a bowl of ramen, or simply taking in the sights, we’ll have a fantastic time together. Curious about what my tours are like? Check out this photo slideshow: https://shorturl.at/rhvnX (By the way, I speak faster in person than in this video!) A little about me: I’m a Tokyo local who loves cats, ramen, jogging, jazz, and the works of Haruki Murakami. I started guiding in 2017 and have combined my love for photography and guiding to offer a unique way to explore and capture the beauty of Japan. I can’t wait to meet you and create wonderful memories. Let’s make your trip to Japan truly special! See you soon, Kumi - National Government Licensed Guide Interpreter (Cert. # EN00884) - Trained with the Japan Federation of Certified Guides (JFG) - Studied photography at the International Center of Photography (ICP) in New York

Tokyo summers can be extremely hot and humid, but you don't have to stay indoors at your hotel! Join me for a relaxed private tour to discover Japanese culture in air-conditioned comfort. We'll visit an indoor destination such as Nihombashi Mitsukoshi, Japan's oldest department store, or Tokyo Solamachi, traveling by taxi. As we explore together, I'll introduce you to traditional crafts, beautiful depachika food halls, Japanese sweets, seasonal displays, and unique souvenirs. You're also welcome to ask me anything about Japan—from history and etiquette to food, transportation, and everyday life. This tour is perfect for hot summer days, rainy weather, or anyone who prefers a slower pace.
- Meet at your hotel. - Travel by taxi to either Nihombashi Mitsukoshi or Tokyo Solamachi. - Explore Japanese department store culture, including seasonal displays, traditional crafts, depachika food halls, Japanese sweets, and carefully selected souvenirs. - Learn about Japanese customs, food culture, gift-giving traditions, and everyday life while we explore together. - Return to your hotel or end the tour at the department store.
