The quality of a guide can make all the difference in your experience in any new place. Happily for my wife and me, we had Haiyan as our “companion” for three days in Japan. I say companion, because she quickly became more than simply a guide, but closer to a new friend who helped us see and enjoy the sights and sounds of Tokyo and Mt. Fuji 5th Station Drive up to the 5th Station (weather and road conditions permitting) for panoramic views and fresh mountain air. This is the closest accessible point to Mt. Fuji by vehicle. Oshino Hakkai Village Walk through a traditional village known for its eight spring ponds fed by Mt. Fuji’s snowmelt. Enjoy local snacks, souvenir shops, and beautiful countryside scenery.
