100% customized one day tour in Tokyo (8 hours)

Aimie was an outstanding tour guide. Prior to the tour, she collaborated with us over email to arrange a customized experience in Tokyo, and she was extremely well-prepared for each aspect of the day. For the Japanese Folk Art Museum, which has virtually no English content, she prepared PowerPoint slides with information in English about all of the major exhibits and that made our visit there even more memorable. She adjusted the tour to include a visit to a Buddhist temple with a fire ritual that was very special, and then took us to a local restaurant which has been in the same family for many generations for lunch. She capped the day by helping us get to the Miyuki Bead Company retail store, a destination we had specified in our planning and which she made happen. Aimie took us on the Tokyo metro to get to all of these locations and her guidance made that experience a very satisfying one as well. Aimie is personable, knowledgeable and exactly the type of guide who makes your stay in a new city both enjoyable and memorable. Of all the individual guides we’ve hired in locations as diverse as Ireland, Paris and now Japan, she was clearly the best, and we recommend her without any hesitation.

Aimie was so fantastic and we couldn’t recommend her highly enough. She put together a customised tour that suited all in our party. She was very knowledgeable and gave us insights to Tokyo that we would not have been able to get on our own. We learnt the traditions of Japan. She was organised but was relaxed enough to let us go slightly off track if we saw something we wanted to explore or spend longer on. You will not be disappointed if you book Aimie.

We had a great first day in Tokyo with Yoshi! We wanted to cover a lot and Yoshi fit everything in, including a delicious sushi lunch, vintage bag shopping, Meiji Jingu and gardens, and more! Yoshi was also very thoughtful including helping us pick up Shinkansen tickets and understand the ticket process (note this needs explaining!). My 24 year old daughter also enjoyed spending time with Yoshi. We highly recommend her for your travels in Japan!

It was our first day in Japan, and Yoshi (Aimie) made it a wonderful experience. She was very flexible and helpful, tailoring the entire 8-hour tour to our specific needs. She assisted us with public transport, recommended many sights and shops, and sent us a ton of useful links for our next days in Tokyo. Yoshi is very knowledgeable about Japanese history and culture, and she is also a very humble and kind person. My daughter and I enjoyed every minute with her, so we can strongly recommend her to everyone else.

Aimie was excellent. The tour was informative, efficient and entertaining. She was extremely knowledgeable and never stopped with interesting historical facts mixed with local customs.
