Hello! Konnichiwa! My name is Sachiko. I am a government licensed tour guide living in Sayama city near Tokyo and would love to show you all over my home country Japan. From the ever-popular tourist hot spots like Sensoji Temple in Asakusa, to the more unusual and rather unique local sites like Golden Gai in Shinjuku. Let me share personalized stories with you that will enhance your understanding of Japanese culture and its long history. I am a quite experienced tour guide. I have delivered tours for more than 1, 200 travel days since I received my license in 2006. I can create detailed customized tours, from single participant to large groups of 40 people. I will also be able to arrange a car, a van or a bus for your convenient transportation. I can build from a half day tour to a 2-week tour which is called "the golden route tour of Japan" . Please tell me all about your interests and the kind of places you would like to see. I am proud of my flexibility with scheduling to meet all of your needs, helping to make the most of your valuable time here. Before becoming a tour guide, I operated a language school in my place of residence for more than 15 years. I like to cook, visit art museums and do Japanese calligraphy. I also like to travel around the world and had great fun in many places which I visited. Because of my experience in intercultural business and my hobbies, I believe that I can meet all of your travel needs. I always enjoy meeting people and making new friends. Let's travel together! Due to the popularity of Mt. Fuji, I hope to take you along what I believe is the best sightseeing route. To begin our trip we will go up to Mt. Fuji's middle point, the 5th Station. And at Hakone, we will take a relaxing cruise on Lake Ashi and ride the ropeway to Owakudani Valley. Mt. Fuji is the most popular tourist attractions in Japan and it is also the highest mountain in Japan at 3, 776m(12, 388ft). It has been worshipped and loved by the Japanese people since ancient times as a holly mountain. Thankfully the volcano has been inactive for over 300 years, and we can safely go up to the 5th Station by vehicles except during winter seasons. Hakone is one of the most popular mountain resorts in Japan, situated on the Hakone Caldera floor surrounded by the crater walls. It is famous for hot springs and seasonal mountain beauty including spring cherry blossoms and autumn colors. The spectacular views that nature has given to us will stay in your heart for a long time.

Sachiko was an excellent guide and very personable. She went out of her way to customize our tour.
We had a lovely day with Sachiko. From the moment she and her driver picked us up, to dropoff at the end of the day, we enjoyed ourselves. The route and activities she picked were perfect and we were able to see Mt Fuji from a distance (partially) and in her full glory from just below the Fifth Station. If you are looking for a private tour and knowledge from a true local, this is the tour to book!
We spent a lovely day with Sashiko at Mt Fuji and Hakone. Sashiko picked us up from our hotel in the morning with a private transfer and took us to Mount Fuji. Luckily, the morning was clear and sunny and we were able to enjoy the view of the Mount Fuji without clouds. Unfortunately, in the afternoon, clouds arrived and we were no longer able to see Mount Fuji from Lake Hakone. Those who do this excursion should consider the possibility that the visibility of Mount Fuji depends on the weather conditions. In any case, the day was very pleasant and we enjoyed it. Sashiko also let us taste the typical Owakudani’s Black Eggs!
Our family of 6 very much enjoyed our tour of Mt. Fuji & Hakone. Sachiko is a knowledgeable and experienced guide. We were able to experience everything on the suggested route. On the way, she introduced information about Japan and a short lesson on Japanese characters. She brought delicious Japanese senbei snacks to eat on the way. The van was very comfortable and the driver was excellent. She warned us that we might not be able to see Mt. Fuji but we were delighted to view the summit on the way up to the 5th station and at the 5th station. She took us to a local restaurant to eat a hearty udon lunch. She answered all our questions, even suggesting where to shop for ukiyo-e prints in Tokyo. She was so nice and kind and made everyone feel comfortable. It was a great visit to Mt. Fuji and Hakone.
What a great day we had with Sachiko! She met us at our hotel and we drove to Mt. Fuji. What an amazing site it is to see up close. Sachiko explained all the history of the mountain and surrounding area. We were lucky that it was a clear beautiful day! She took us to an ancient shrine, a delicious Japanese restaurant then on a boat ride on the lake near Hakone. We visited a lovely wood shop in Hakone and bought some souvenirs. The day flew by and we truly appreciated spending the time with Sachiko.
