This is a tour particularly for history & culture lovers, who are eager to enjoy Tokyo in a limited time frame, want to know real Tokyo on foot, or try to stretch your legs while enjoying Tokyo in depth. The basic itinerary is as follows. - After meeting at an agreed upon spot in central Tokyo, we'd first visit the vibrant Tsukiji outer fish market, arguably the biggest district of authentic sushi bars and sea food retailers in the world. - Then, we'd enjoy walking toward the Main Gate / Double Bridge of Imperial garden at the very center of Tokyo. - After that, we are heading to Sensoji, the oldest temple in Tokyo, with the famous Nakamise 'traditional' shopping alley in its precinct. Alternatively, we can visit the world famous Shibuya Scramble Crossing, Omote Sando Fashion Avenue (Tokyo's Avenue des Champs-Élysées), the 202m high observatory at Tokyo GOV building, etc.

Our family and I really enjoyed our tour with Hiro. He provided great information and historical background for the sites we visited. Hiro constructed the tour in a very efficient way, to maximize our time and visit as many sites as possible.
The Perfect Tokyo Overview! We just finished a fantastic tour of Tokyo and cannot recommend our guide enough! He was wonderful, incredibly friendly, and full of fascinating information about the city. He tailored the experience to our needs and was flexible throughout the day. If you want a perfect introduction to Tokyo, definitely book a tour with him!
My wife and I did a half day tour with Hiro on our first full day in Tokyo. It was a perfect introduction to the city. His knowledge of Japanese history and culture was impressive, and he is a fun guy to talk with. I am amazed at what we learned, and how much territory we covered during our tour. Hiro gave us some great tips and suggestions for things to do while in Tokyo. He also suggested a great restaurant for lunch.
Hiro was absolutely fantastic. He knew all the great places in Tokyo. The way he travelled around the train network was incredible. Highly recommend him.
Hiro guided us through Tokyo, expertly navigating us to several notable spots from east and west. Within a half day, we visited the Hongwaji temple, Tsukiji fish market, shrines, the Nakamise shopping area/asakusa market and Sensoji temple, main gate at the imperial palace, shibuya and shinjuku including Takeshita youth fashion area, the champs elysee of Tokyo — omotesando. Whew! We used the incredibly efficient rail and were amazed at the ease and convenience of the metro train system. We never waited more than a few minutes! Along the way, Hiro provided colorful and insightful information about the culture, history, and the ways that Japan continues to influence other cultures. His easy going style and quick humor were much appreciated! He was super helpful in structuring the morning tour so that each person in our group of 3 had a wonderful experience! Highly recommended!

This is a walking tour with frequent use of subway. We can reduce the walking distance by cutting places to visit, using taxi, etc., as per your request. Downloading 'Welcome SUICA' is recommended since it can be used for all of Japanese transit system except the bullet train and long distance express ones.
