This is actually why I love showing this area to my guests, for the mixture of chaos and Japanese charm that you won't find anywhere else. On this night walk, I’ll walk you through the backstreets, the red-light history, the hidden alleys, and the corners tourists always misunderstand. You’ll learn about the area's history and how it evolved into the entertainment hub of Tokyo. I’ll introduce you to a few of my favorite bars if you want to grab a drink afterward. This tour is perfect if you want real cultural depth and a fun night out!
Loved our guide Anson. Provided us with lots of history of the area. He was guiding a wheelchair user and even in the smallest of the black markets, we were successful. Thanks for pushing us with the unusual food choices (they were delicious) so we really could immerse ourselves in the concept of Omoide Yokocho.

Had a great time with Anson on his tour of Kabukicho. He took us to on a walk around the district and told us all about the history of it in an interesting way. Then we had some great food at a local izakaya he brought us too. He is a very talkative and fun guy I wholeheartedly recommend him for anyone looking for a tour of Shinjuku/Kabukicho.
Anson was an excellent guide in all senses: knowledgeable about history and culture, about place and the many-layered elements that make up Tokyo and specifically Shinjuku at night. He was patient and flexible as well as funny and generous. We had a great time and would definitely tour with him again.
Anson is the best! I booked my tour of Shinjuku / Kabukicho by night with him. Anson is welcoming and friendly, so much so that I felt I was meeting up with a friend I knew before. As we walked, he explained the cultural and historical significance of the places and the variety of people along the way. There are so many micro restaurants and bars jammed into the neighborhood, each with its own character. I was also fascinated to learn about the dynamics of people seeking companionship at famous love hotels and others kinds of establishments. He presented these dynamics in a respectful way. Anson is a most knowledgeable and friendly guide. On my next visit to Tokyo, I'll certainly take another tour with Anson! Maximum stars!
Fun and relaxed tour. Anson is very easy to work with and really seems to care. Nice intro to Tokyo and a way to stay up to beat jet lag.
