Tokyo Chartered Taxi Private Tour

Hiro was our "hero" for our tour of Tokyo. We were just wrapping up a cruise and had an extra day and a half in port before we had to be at the airport for an afternoon flight home. So we booked a full day and half day tour. Since we wanted to spent the entire day exploring the City itself, we decide to use public transportation to get around. Tokyo has an amazing subway system, but with so many options, it can get a bit complex. Having Hiro taking the lead we saving a ton of time quickly getting all around the city to see the many sites . . . some on the standard "must-see" list, and some of Hiro's personal favorite spots. On the second day, our plan was to see some of the sights on the outskirts of the city before being dropped off at the airport. Hiro arranged a private taxi for this purpose. This also worked out great. While our driver focused on navigating, Hiro was a wealth of knowledge, sharing information not only about the places we were visiting and passing along the way, but also about Japanese culture in general. He speaking English exceptionally well, and was always kind, courteous and was a lot of fun to travel with. He made a point to find some nice spots for photos, and happily took photos of us with our camera phones. If Hiro is available for you trip to Tokyo, you'll be lucky to get him.

From viewing the Imperial Palace to enjoying the beautiful landscapes of Shinjuku Gyoen National Garden and Hama-rikyu Gardens, touring Meiji Jingu and the Samurai Museum, shopping along Takeshita Street and in the Ginza district, and experiencing the famous Dogenzaka intersection and Tsukiji Fish Market, there was so much to see and absorb. Having Hiro as our tour guide exceeded our expectations and enriched all of our experiences throughout the days that followed. We feel truly blessed to have received such an exceptional tour of Tokyo through Hiro’s eyes and his passion for sharing his country with visitors. We also greatly appreciated his thoughtfulness in selecting wonderful restaurants for lunch, including LaVASARA and Akasaka. Hiro met my expectations as an experienced and knowledgeable guide, and my friend and I had two very enjoyable days with him. Our chartered taxi tour included a thoughtful mix of stops that Hiro suggested and places I requested, which made the experience feel both well-planned and personal. We were very happy with our tour of Tokyo with Hiro. He was a wonderful tour guide and took us to many of the popular tourist destinations and also other places of interest, explaining the history and background and giving us an insight that we would not have had on our own. He is a great conversationalist and his English is excellent, we were able to discuss many topics, not only about the places we visited but also about Japanese culture and traditions and everyday life in Tokyo. Knowing ahead of time that I had some dietary restrictions, Hiro arranged for us to have lunch at a 100% gluten free restaurant. We had a delicious 5 course tasting menu in a private dining room and really enjoyed the time chatting with Hiro and getting to know him a little better. His thoughtfulness in organizing this was greatly appreciated. Hiro also took photos of us at all of our stops and then forwarded them to us after the tour, this was also very thoughtful of him and something we were not expecting. We would not hesitate to recommend Hiro to anyone looking for a tour of Tokyo, he is an excellent tour guide. If you want an exceptional tour of Tokyo, Hiro M. Is your guide. He quickly changed the start time of our tour due to heavy rain. This was so appreciated as we still had a full day of touring but not under rainy conditions. This was a guided tour in a new clean vehicle that easily fit 4 adults and also had our own driver! This saved so much time with drop offs and pickups as we and our guide didn’t have to spend time parking a vehicle. Hiro M was very knowledgeable, professional and entertaining to spend the day touring with us. We realized you need more then one day of touring this great city due to its size but Hiro was able to hit the hi-lights for us! He will make your Tokyo experience very memorable!
