Exciting Highlight Tour in the Dynamic Megalopolis of Tokyo

Masa exceeding our expectations in every category. He was communicative, flexible, fun and extremely knowledgeable. Our only regret is that we only had one day w him. Highly recommend.

Masa was aweseome and showed us the true side of Tokyo.....we went everywhere....and got our 15,000+ steps. We did take a lot of expensive cab rides but that's the only way to get around the city fast. We also took the JR line train which was so much fun. Masa took us to a great restaurant for lunch and we learned so much from him about this most fantastic city......if you come to Tokyo and want a kind and soft spoken gentleman guide, Masa is the only one to hire. Masa was kind, knowledgeable, and friendly. He helped customize the tour in advance, was flexible about adjusting on the fly, and accommodating for all of our needs and preferences. We toured with him on the first day of our trip to Japan and it gave us great context and information for the entire trip ahead. I highly recommend Masa for all group tours of Tokyo!

Masaharu was given a tough task as the weather was very miserable for a walking tour of Tokyo. Despite that, everyone thoroughly enjoyed the trip. Everyone found Masaharu to be extremely knowledgeable, with just the right amount of information but more if requested. He is a very kind man who is a joy to tour with. The pace of the tour was very reasonable, with a fair amount of walking but at a pleasant pace with moments to rest/eat as necessary. We worked in advance on the itinerary but did make some changes on the fly, which he very flexibly accomodated. For English speakers, we can confirm that Masaharu's command of the language is excellent as he lived for many years in English speaking countries and he has a very interesting international background. All in all, we would highly recommend Masaharu to anyone touring Tokyo for any reason, but especially if you are very inquisitive and interested in history.

Because we had limited time in Tokyo, we booked a one-day tour to visit some of its highlights on 5/28/26 with our guide, Masaharu. From the start, Masaharu was a joy to be with. Our family dubbed him, "The professor" because of his vast historical knowledge of each of the sites we visited. Masaharu is very friendly and approachable, so it made it very easy to ask him questions about the places we visited. He took us to the Imperial Palace, numerous beautiful gardens, various shrines and temples with my personal favorite, the Gotokuji Temple aka, "The Lucky Cat Temple". Masaharu lead us through various charming local neighborhoods with delightful shops and delicious local cuisines, in addition to an exciting very large fish market. We even saw the loyal Hachi dog statue! We could not have covered so much ground and experienced so much of Tokyo without the help of Masaharu.
