Tokyo Highlight Tours with Maru

Maru was an exceptional guide and made my time in Tokyo truly memorable. I spent a full day exploring the city with her, and I could not have asked for a better introduction to Tokyo. She is warm, engaging, knowledgeable and extremely easy to spend time with. What I particularly appreciated was that the experience never felt like simply moving through a checklist of tourist sights. Maru gave me a much more personal introduction to Tokyo, combining some of the city's essential places with neighbourhoods, streets and experiences that helped me better understand everyday life, history and culture in Japan. I would recommend Maru without hesitation to anyone looking for a knowledgeable and personable guide who can provide both the highlights of Tokyo and a much deeper, more authentic experience of the city.

What can I say about Maru other than she is simply an amazing tour guide but quickly became apart of our family. Our trip got off to a bad start with the typhoon wrecking some of our plans. But Maru stepped up and our one day tour of Tokyo with her helped get the trip back on track. And when our trip to Okinawa got cancelled because of the weather Maru stepped up and helped us plan several day trips one of which she accompanied us to Kyoto and Nara. She was so thoughtful and gave us amazing historical facts about each location. We booked other trips through get your guide and viator and those “tour guides” were simply car drivers that just dropped us off at the locations with instructions when to be back. Again I cannot recommend Maru enough as a tour guide. She was simply the best

Maru was the best tour guide we had in our 11 days spent in Japan! She completely customized our tour based on our preferences and took us to some really cool places such as the fish market, a cat café, Harajuku, Tokyo Sky Tree and more. It was raining, but she found a way to do the majority of theses things without it being a problem. We highly recommend Maru. She is very knowledgeable, considerate and friendly. We will forever treasure our time spent with her!

We loved our tour with Maru! It felt like touring a city with a good friend. Communication was excellent beforehand. During the tour she was careful to gauge what our interest were so that we spent our time in a way that made us feel the most comfortable. We got to see the different parts of Tokyo, and significant sights. It made us fall in love with the city. She also took us to an amazing place for lunch. We highly recommend Maru!

Maru was great!!! She met us at our hotel and spent the day with us showing us around. She was attentive to our children and our needs. We felt like locals by the end of the day. I highly recommend Maru.

I have been to Japan 3 times and have hired about 7 different guides. Maru is one of my favorite guides of all time. She was extremely flexible with our schedule. She was knowledgeable and made great recommendations for places to go. Her English is excellent. She even took photographs with her own camera and sent the pictures to me!
