Tokyo Half Day Private Tour

Gulay was so knowledgeable and personable —providing both historical context and personal insight on living in Tokyo. She was incredibly flexible with scheduling, gave us great advice and confidence navigating Tokyo’s public transportation system, and pointed our teenage daughter to the best shopping in Shibuya (which she took full advantage of the next day). She took us through interesting places off the beaten path and made sure to point out and explain out of the ordinary sightings we would have missed without her. Such an unforgettable experience!

Gulay was incredible! This was our groups first time to Japan. We met on the first full day of our trip, and I could not have asked for anyone better to kick us off right. She reached out to me before our tour to learn what activities we would like her to consider to customize our half day tour. We met her at our hotel but used the first train ride to the Ueno Park area to get information on how to use the trains and tips for navigating the city. The information she shared with us about temples and shrines was wonderful. She was patient with our group and wanted to help us in any way she could with having an absolutely perfect time with her. She then took us to the Akihabara area. She had knowledge of shops my teenagers would want to visit and how they worked. They enjoyed talking to her and sharing about all they wanted to see and do in the area. After the tour was over, she continued to send me additional information based on what she knew of our plans for the next few days in Tokyo. I am so appreciative of our time with her. I am normally the person that navigates our group through our activities. It was just delightful to have someone else do the navigating and I really enjoyed sightseeing that half day. She gave us a great recommendation on where to eat after the tour was over so that helped me out as well. Thank you Gulay! I would highly recommend everyone use your services.

Ms. Gülay is a very friendly, positive, and knowledgeable guide who knows all about Tokyo. She took two families, including our children, on a two-day tour of Tokyo. We went to Tokyo without any plans, but she helped us with all our planning.

We planned this tour when we decided to come to Japan. Gulay was tremendously helpful. She knew this was our first day in Japan and looked at our itinerary and planned a wonderful day for us.
