From the very beginning, he took great care in planning every detail of our tour and thoughtfully adapted the day to the different ages, interests, and needs of our family. Go San was very informative. Before arriving in Japan he sent us information about Japan and apps we needed to have before arriving and made the tour so easy and doable for my 86 year old dad with sciatica. He was very patient and would stop and allow him to rest and walk at a pace that he could keep up with. He was very knowledgeable and personable and gave myriad suggestions of what we could do even after our tour ended.

We had an absolutely wonderful day in Tokyo with Go Y. There were four of us in our group, and from the beginning, Go was knowledgeable, patient, flexible, and a pleasure to spend the day with. Go spoke very good English and was incredibly patient with us. If one of us asked him to repeat something, clarify a point, or explain something we hadn't quite been paying attention to the first time, he never made us feel rushed or like we were asking too many questions. In fact, he joked a couple of times that he couldn't possibly know everything about every place we visited—and then proceeded to answer our questions anyway! Our day included Meiji Shrine, Harajuku and Takeshita Street, Shibuya, Ginza, Tsukiji Fish Market and Tsukiji Hongwanji Temple, the Imperial Palace and Tokyo Station, Akihabara, and finally Asakusa and Sensoji Temple. Go was very familiar with all of the sights and did a wonderful job explaining not only what we were seeing, but also the history, customs, and culture behind them. One of the things we appreciated most was how willing Go was to adjust the schedule to accommodate our interests. He also helped us understand Tokyo's train system and taught us how to get around Japan using the trains. That turned out to be incredibly valuable. We had several days in Tokyo after our tour, and we were never unable to find our way to somewhere we wanted to go. We felt confident navigating the trains and, just as importantly, confident that we could find our way back to our hotel in the evening. Go even helped us work out the timing and train route for one of our group members who wanted to visit a small village several hours away because of childhood memories there. That was above and beyond what we expected from a Tokyo sightseeing tour. And I have to mention the sushi lunch! Go took us to a restaurant in the fish market, and the sushi was amazing. Go was also our photographer throughout the day. He knew exactly where to stand and how to pose the four of us so that we could all be in the pictures and still have the sights beautifully represented. Those photos are some of our favorite memories of our time in Tokyo. What really made Go stand out, though, was that he didn't just take us from one attraction to another. He taught us about Japanese customs, temples and shrines, the different shopping districts, transportation, and even helped us figure out things we wanted to do on our own after the tour. I highly recommend Go if you are spending time in Tokyo. He gave us a fantastic introduction to the city—and, perhaps even more importantly, the confidence to explore Japan on our own after our day with him.

What an amazing one-day tour in Tokyo with Go Yoshida San! From the moment we met, he made everything feel easy and enjoyable. He was so informative, sharing all these cool stories and little details about the places we visited that you just wouldn’t get from a guidebook. Go was exceptionally helpful before the tour in creating a bespoke tour and also providing information to make your visit to Japan and Tokyo positive and as easy as possible. On the tour itself we had a good day out and it was perfect for a first day in Tokyo to acclimate and see a number of different parts of the city. It was a hot day and by the end we and Go were hot and sweaty. 20,000+ steps so make sure that you wear the right shoes.

We had an amazing day with Go! He was incredibly flexible when we had to change our meeting time at the last minute and was so understanding about it. He took us to an incredible local sushi restaurant that we never would have found on our own, and throughout the day he shared so many helpful tips and recommendations that only a local would know. He was knowledgeable, friendly, and made the entire experience feel relaxed and personalized. We learned so much and had a fantastic time exploring Tokyo with him.
