Hello! My name is Filipa and I am a Certified Tour Guide in Lisbon and its surroundings. Living in such a beautiful city has led my parents to impart me with principles of valorization of heritage and history from a very young age, probably having taken me to every museum and palace there was to be visited! Thus, I believe this might be the reason why I appreciate and enjoy history so much. Added to my love for communication and languages, it only made sense to pursue my dream job of being a Tour Guide. I have an undergraduate degree in Tourism Information, where my classes were mostly focused on Portuguese history, art, culture, geography, as well as interpersonal skills, storytelling, and leadership. I have been working as a tour guide since 2015, first focusing on tours around the country and in most recent years, around Lisbon's metropolitan area. I went back to University to "conquer" my Master's Degree in Strategic Management of Tourism Destinations, which has instilled me with even more insight on destinations, tour planning and management. Both my academic and professional experience have given me awareness of my role as leader, interpreter and mediator between the tourists and the destinations. Therefore, I take my profession very seriously whilst showing a lot of passion for what I do.
