Lisbon Old Town & Belem Tour 3 hours

Had a terrific introduction to Lisbon with on our private tour with Gonçalo. He was very professional and 100% responsive to our interests, crafting an itinerary that included all those points. He is deeply knowledgeable and well-versed in the history of Lisbon and an excellent storyteller. We learned a lot in our 3 hours together. He’s also a genuinely personable and interesting individual, and knows people everywhere, which made everything very accessible. We did our initial tour by car, followed by a second walking tour later in the week, both superb!

Wow, what an incredible adventure in Lisbon. We covered sooo much of Lisbon and Goncalo is a wonderful guide, with a wealth of knowledge, humor and history about Portugal and the Lisbon area. This was definitely the way to see the very best of Lisbon for time we had available

Gonzo was a great host. We learned a lot about the history of Lisbon and Portugal. He gave recommendations for restaurants which were spot on. He’s an excellent driver to navigate the city (we found out he’s an EMS/firefighter so must be used to the streets!). A very enjoyable tour.

We had an overnight layover in Lisbon with an afternoon to kill. We had been to Lisbon before so had more or less seen all the sights, so we asked Goncalo to take us to Roman sights, which he did, the amphitheater-fascinating. He drove us around the various neighborhood of Lisbon as he related interesting tid-bits of each area and Lisbon's history with the Romans and other colonizers. It was very relaxing (we'd been in Morocco for 2 weeks and were pretty much wiped out with sight seeing). It was nice to get to know him and I am happy to recommend him. His English is excellent and he's a good driver (Lisbon traffic is pretty scary, all those narrow streets). And it didn't hurt that he looks like Ryan Gosling!!

Our Lisbon tour with Goncolo was excellent and were so grateful for his ability to modify his standard tour to accommodate my husband’s limited mobility. Our guide presented Lisbon’s history in meaningful sequence and significant detail. His enthusiasm and respect for the accomplishments of the navigators of Portugal in the past and his pride in the city today made the 3 hours pass very quickly. We were able to view the most interesting sites from the comfort of this car and he made special stops for photos and the magnificent Belem pastry. We would recommend his tour highly.
