Day trip in Sintra, Cascais and Cape of Roca

We had a fabulous one day tour with Gloria and our driver Mario. She arrived precisely on time with Mario who was driving an Audi etron station wagon that was super comfortable. Gloria and my wife sat in the back seat and I sat in the front with Mario. We discussed what we wanted to see and do and had a tour of Sintra (we spent about 45 minutes in Sintra but decided not to hike all the way to the top which left time for us to cover a lot of ground) and then out to and along the coast to several gorgeous beach spots that were reminiscent of and in some ways exceeded big Sur in California. We saw Boca do Inferno, Cabo de Roca (westernmost point in all of mainland Europe) and Cascais. I wish I could post my photos here! Gloria started out the day as our guide and finished it as a friend. She recommended a wonderful restaurant just north of Cascais and got us a reservation at a lovely restaurant with a water view. We had tiger prawns and grilled fish that were fantastic. Although the day was a bit expensive at $800 it got us to all the places we wanted see and then some. We would definitely highly recommend Gloria and if we go back may use her to help plan tours in other parts of Portugal. OBRIGADO Gloria! -Peter and Pat

Gloria is extremely well informed of history. She knows the best way to organize a personal tour and was very adaptable to our needs. She was very communicative before the tour in responding to my multiple questions. We made a full day of 3 castles and lunch.

A fabulous day! Both towns are different and so interesting. I can’t imagine doing this without a guide and car. Time very well spent and Gloria is a superior guide.

Gloria was an excellent guide combining her knowledge with enthusiasm for the subject matter. We had a wonderful time. We really appreciate her figuring out how to get us to our first stop in time after our driver got stuck in a traffic jam. Absolutely would hire her again the next time we are in Portugal.

The tour of Sintra with Gloria was fantastic. Gloria was a perfect tour guide, friendly, helpful and extremely knowledgeable about the history of the people and palaces we visited. It was a wonderful day. I highly recommend Gloria as a tour guide.
