Hello from Lisbon!! I'm António and I'm a professional tour guide. I was born and raised in the magical town of Sintra, right next to Lisbon. I've traveled the world but it's here, in the cosyness of home, that I feel the most happy. And it's this passion for Portugal in all its diversity that led me to love sharing the wonders of my country with others. Visitors still become surprised with the amount of beauty and history/culture they come a cross in Portugal and telling them those stories and showing those places is something that gives me great pleasure and that makes me enjoy touring so much. I'm naturally very curious (don't be surprised if I ask you a ton of questions about your country). Is this curiosity that keeps motivating me to know more about how Portugal became what it is now a days in all aspects. And as a tour guide this is something I'm proud of. After all, my main goal is for you and your party have the most fun possible while experiencing and learning about this wonderfull European country. In most tours I try to balance between history, culture, nature and beautiful scenery. For that I have specialized in Private tours so we can have all the flexibility of time and itinerary that better suits you. Customized tours are very welcome as well so do not hesitate. Before becoming a tour guide I've studied Physical Geography and a Master's in Coastal Dynamics. This is something that I still love and follow but it was not so attractive professionally. Overview of your Lisbon tour

This private tour is the perfect way to experience all of Sintra's wonders on an efficient, relaxed and fun way! In aproximately 6 to 8 Hours we will visit and experience the enchanted Sintra's history and heritage where the Palaces and Gardens of the romantic period contrast with a medieval 10th century Moorish Castle. We will also visit little coastal villages with its picturesque architecture and a beautiful rugged coast line and fishing vibe. Here we will relax for lunch and have the opportunity to try great traditional dishes and seafood. If you love history with a touch of enchantment and romanticism, different cultures and raw scenic nature, I'm sure you''ll fall in love with this place, as my family did 3 generations ago, and have a day to remember. I will drive you in a confortable mini van and pick you up and drop you off at the place of your choice. As a licensed guide I can avoid lines for all the attractions.

This tour was absolutely amazing! Antonio was knowledgeable, telling us the history and significance of the different points of interest on the tours. We were picked up at our AirBNB, making it as really seamless way to begin the exploration. We were a large party of 8 and were extremely comfortable in the large, air conditioned van. We were allowed plenty of time at each stop. I would 100 percent recommend this tour, and specifically Antonio, if you're traveling to Lisbon.

Antonio is a great tour guide with so much knowledge to share about Sintra and all the best attractions because he grew up there and lives in the area. We found him to be flexible, very knowledgeable, and yet knows when a quiet moment to take everything in is needed. Your Lisbon tour itinerary

Once we arrive in Sintra we stop to discover the historic center and National Palace of Sintra. We will then continue through the lush forest to discover the romantic palaces of Quinta da Regaleira and Monserrate. This Unesco world heritage monument are jewels of the 19th century romantic period. We will then head to the coastline and discover its beautiful traditional villages and dramatic scenery. The rugged coastline and huge waves make will be the background for an amazing lunch where you can taste the best of the Portuguese gastronomy. We will also visit the westernmost point of continental Europe. We will then return to the Historic area to enjoy the 10th century Moorish Castle and the greatest symbol of the romantic period in Portugal - the Pena Palace. Its architecture, history and unique location will make for na unforgettable experience. After Pena Palace we will head back to your drop off location. -The tour can be customised according to your preferences, please inquire
