As a local, living in central Athens and a licensed tourist guide, I'm always excited about introducing guests to the city's rich history. My aim is to introduce visitors, not only to the city's sites and monuments, but also to its unique culture, architecture and modern life. What I consider essential, is breathing life into monuments and adding historical and cultural context to the sites we visit.
My working experience as a guide has taught me how to be flexible and how to adjust the tours to the individuals' and groups' special needs and interests. Guiding guests to the city's sites has also turned out to be a great opportunity to interact with people from all over the world, people with different backgrounds, ideas and experiences.
My academic background is in History and Political Science. I have a Bachelor's Degree in History and a Master's Degree in International and European Relations, and I'm still engaged in Academia, conducting research on Human Migration in the University of Athens. I have a passion for learning foreign languages: I'm fluent in English, German and French, and I'm currently learning Russian and Spanish. I have always believed that the beauty of life lies in our ability to broaden our horizons, with books, courses, art, travelling and new experiences.
Let me share with you my enthusiasm about the city's millennia-old history and its amazing vibes. I'm looking forward to hearing from you.
