I love this tour, and you will love it too, as it combines mythology, history, archaeology and unspoiled natural beauty. I have been giving tours on Delos since 2001 and I have also written a book about it!

We'll visit an ancient town destroyed by pirates in 69 BCE and ever since left abandoned. But most importantly, Delos was, according to the mythology, the birthplace of god Apollo, the sun-god!

We start by visiting a residential area (one of the five discovered so far) and we walk among ancient houses, shops, and workshops. And after visiting the theater, we proceed to the area of the temples. We see what remains of Apollo's temple and of his gigantic statue, while further down we come across the Slave Market (Delos became super rich thanks to the slave trade). Finally, we reach the famous Terrace of the Lions, where the tour ends.

Naxos has a centuries-long tradition in making cheese, honey and olive oil.

Join me to live the authentic experience of making traditional cheese (yes, you are going to actually help making cheese) in a secluded family farm on the southern part of Naxos. We'll meet and pet the farm animals, and we'll enjoy a tasty brunch made with the farm's produce. Later on, we'll visit a beekeeper and find out all about bees and honey (and we'll get to taste some!). If kids are present, we'll play the game of spot-the-queen-bee, while watching the bees from the safety of a protective glass pane. Then, we'll visit an old olive press and we'll learn all about the olive oil making tradition of the island (you guessed right, we'll also get to taste some!)
