Overview of your Amsterdam tour

We love tulips! Keukenhof is the most famous spring garden in the world with more than 7 million tulips, daffodils, hyacinths and other beautiful flowers. You have never seen so many colors at the same time! And the sweet smells, oh my! You can order fresh bulbs! On the way back to Amsterdam we'll see tulip fields, a windmill and hopefully some sheep and cows. Bring your camera! This private tulip tour amsterdam is combined - on request - with an (early!) visit to the flower auction at Aalsmeer, a visit to Delft, Gouda, Leiden, The Hague or Haarlem, Zaanse Schans windmills, the seaside, or just more time to relax at the Keukenhof. The Keukenhof is open daily from March 18 to May 9 2027. Skip the line tickets included. The Tulips only bloom in the spring but Keukenhof Gardens is a must see. It was very crowed but our guide Walda guided us in a way that made the large crowds a non issue, from entry to exit. The same can be said of our windmill visit which was part of this package. Walda's vast experience in the area and the locations we visited really elevated the experience. I highly recommend this tour but more importantly we recommend Walda as a tour guide!!!!!!!

When we were planning our visit, we had no idea what King's Day was. Turns out, it was a great day to go see the gardens at Keukenhof, explore the windmills at Zaanse Schans, and check out the cheese farm in Edam. The weather was a bit unsettled, but our visit went as planned, including seeing the Jersey cows--and newborn calves--at the cheese farm. The cheese, of course, was delicious. By the way, in addition to her extensive knowledge of the area attractions, Walda is an excellent driver!

What's included
Other: Included are my time as your private guide and personal assistant. I'm an art historian, teacher and tour guide for 25 years; full of stories, funny facts and an eye for detail. Also included are skip the line tickets for the Keukenhof Gardens. I'm an art historian, not a florist :) But I'd be happy to accompany you at Keukenhof, tell you about the history, show you the way and point out nice routes, the pavillions, restrooms, restaurants, shops and the place where you can order fresh bulbs for your garden next year. Or, you can explore the gardens on your own (I will drop you off, get you in with fast line tickets and pick you up at the entrance of the park), whatever you prefer. A luxury van with professional driver is also included. On request I can prepare a tour with other transportation.
