Holland Highlights

In parts of Holland bordering the North Sea, where bulb flowers like tulips are grown, the landscape looks like a colourful abstract painting in Spring. Keukenhof is an attractive park showcasing the wealth of flower cultivation. Visit well-preserved windmills in action; learn about their role in the early stages of the Industrial Revolution and the war on water that defines the Dutch people. The city of Haarlem is a jewel along the river Spaarne, west of Amsterdam. Admire the medieval church on the market square, on whose great organ Mozart played as a child. The city of Delft is famous for its painted "Delft Blue" ceramics. Visit the porcelain factory and the great church on the market square, burial place of Dutch founding father William the Silent.
