Hello! I'm Ravil. I've called the Netherlands home since 1989 — first Nijmegen, then Amsterdam, where I've lived since 1996. I was born in Moscow, but it's here that showing friends and visitors around slowly turned into my work — and nearly thirty years later, I still enjoy it as much as ever. I specialize in private car tours for people who'd rather have a flexible day than follow a rigid schedule. I've always been especially drawn to the smaller towns and the Dutch countryside — a village café, a quiet canal, an unexpected conversation, or a stop that wasn't in the plan. These often turn out to be the highlights of the day. Some guests come for history, architecture, and art; others for local life, food, or simply to see the country beyond the usual tourist spots. I’ll admit I sometimes get a little carried away when a place I love comes up — so please don’t hesitate to tell me when you’ve seen enough or simply need a coffee. My aim is never to rush you through a checklist, but to help you experience the Netherlands in a way that fits your interests, at the pace that suits you. When I’m not guiding, I travel myself. In the winter months, you’ll regularly find me exploring Southeast Asia, which keeps reminding me what it’s like to be a visitor in a foreign country. A few practical notes: we travel in my modern SUV, comfortable for up to four passengers; for larger groups, I can arrange a minivan. I guide in English, Dutch and Russian, hold an official Amsterdam guiding permit, and am registered with the Dutch Chamber of Commerce.

Escape the city crowds and join me for a relaxed, personal day out in the beautiful Dutch countryside. I love showing visitors the side of the Netherlands that lies just beyond Amsterdam, and we will travel comfortably in my private car.We will start our morning together at Zaanse Schans. It is a wonderful place where historic windmills, green wooden houses, and traditional crafts bring old Dutch history to life. Together, we will stop by a local cheese farm for some tastings, watch a craftsman make wooden clogs, and—if you are up for it—step inside a working windmill.After Zaanse Schans, the day is yours to shape. If you enjoy a lively atmosphere, we can head to the fishing village of Volendam for harbor views and a local treat. But if you prefer something quieter, I would love to show you Edam. It is one of my absolute favorite towns, full of quiet canals and a truly peaceful local vibe.
Ravil picked very interesting sites to visit in general and in detail at those locations. He is very personable and a real pleasure with whom to spend time. As a bonus is to hear what life was and is in Russia. His English is perfect. All three of us enjoyed greatly the tour.

Ravil arranged a custom tour for us. The tour he arranged for us was perfect. He is friendly and very knowledgeable. The highlight of the tour was traveling from Rotterdam to Amsterdam to see the Church our ancestors were married in on a September day in 1691.
We had a great private tour with Ravil last week! He picked us up promptly by our hotel, dropped us off at Keukenhof and then picked us up there for a couple more hours of sightseeing in the countryside. He was very interesting! He showed us lots more tulip fields on some of the back roads and even a couple of non touristic windmills. We had a great day! Thanks Ravil!
I thought I had written a review, I know the website was having issues so I'll just say once again that Ravil was an excellent guide and he took excellent care of us.
From the punctual pick up at our hotel to the most warm "adieu" at the end of our day , we were treated like royalty by Ravil. Comfortable vehicle, excellent chauffeur and "raconteur" as he kept us informed, entertained and answering all questions. BEAUTIFUL countryside drive to ALL the must see locales, vistas and secret spots HE knows to show! Tours of windmills. cheese facilities, more than we imagined to be able to see in that day. OUTSTANDING lunch at the most perfect village , locals' favourite restaurant with a menu of local fare that was simply delicious, generous portions and SO affordable///true experiences !
