Going from city to city we will, wherever possible, be driving through the Dutch countryside, through green meadows and over winding river dikes: To your left, a few meters below the road, breathtaking views over the lowland 'polders' populated by grazing cattle, to your right the lazy wide river…We will see old farmhouses, windmills, canals, old locks and ditches, proof of the dutchmen's watermanagement skills throughout the ages. On the horizon we can already see the looming contours of yet another interesting old town which may be our next stop…! You will see, feel, experience Holland in it's pure essence. We will go off the beaten path and avoid the crowded tourist traps. You will experience the authentic unspoiled Netherlands and see the things that can't be seen when travelling on a tour bus. Please note I offer maximum flexibility in all my tours. If, for any reason, you wish to change program, this is always possible. Even during the day itself. This is your tour! Transportation in a premium luxury sedan is included in all tour prices. You will travel in sheer comfort in my airconditioned Lexus LS 600 hL. In your own pace, with plenty of time to absorb the overwhelming and fascinating beauty of the Netherlands. For groups of 4-8 passengers I can rent a Mercedes van at additional charge. Flower Experience, Old Towns & Countryside Tour by premium luxury car
Overview of your Amsterdam tour
In the morning we will visit the 2027 edition (open March 18th till May 9th) of the overwhelming Keukenhof Flower Gardens. Over 7 million bulbs in bloom, with (among other) a total of 800 varieties of tulips! Before or after your visit to Keukenhof, we will make a private car drive through the surrounding flower fields, with plenty of opportunities to take pictures. Born and raised right in the heart of the Flower District, I will be pleased to be your guide! In the afternoon we can visit one or two of the beautiful old dutch towns like Haarlem, Leiden, Delft or The Hague. Another option for the afternoon is an off the beaten track tour in Waterland, the fascinating countryside area north of Amsterdam. Towns and villages we can explore there are Edam, Marken, Broek in Waterland, De Rijp and more. A cheesetasting at a farm and a visit inside a working windmill can be included too if you wish.

The full day we spent with Eric touring Keukenhof and then some less touristed towns north of Amsterdam may have been the best ever of the many other tours we have taken. He is very knowledgeable about the area, considerate, and pleasant to be with, and went at the pace that was perfect for us. We went to beautiful, charming places that we would never have discovered on our own. Highly recommend!

Eric is a fantastic guide for the Gardens and the surrounding area. The fact that he grew up in the area gives him a unique insight into the work that goes into both the immense flower fields and the Gardens. The Gardens are a sight that must be seen and the tour of the outlying areas gives one a real feel for life in this part of the country.

Eric is a great guide. He arrived early and we briefly reviewed the day knowing we were starting off at Keukenhof Gardens, which was amazing. We left the hotel early to arrive at the gardens when they open and I highly recommend that as it becomes extremely crowded mid morning. Eric has a beautiful Lexus hybrid sedan that is not sold in the US and has more features than most hotel rooms. You will be very comfortable and enjoy the ride and he shows you his amazing country. Eric is a wealth of knowledge about the Netherlands and we especially liked the all the information he provided about the extensive dykes, canals and pumping stations. We were not aware of this extensive waterway delta until we talked to Eric. It was a very interesting discussion. After Keukenhof Gardens we went to The Hague and drove around that area while stopping for some photos and Eric explained the Netherlands government. We learned so much from Eric and appreciated the time he took to explain topics that we did not know about. Our last stop was the cute town of Delft that has a charming city center and where the history of the Delft pottery started with several Delft shops in the area. Overall, great guide, very knowledgeable, great car and we would highly recommend Eric. Feel free to ask Eric questions if you would like to see (or not see) certain places. We customized our day and were flexible as the day went on based on the amount of time we spent at each location.
