Hiya! How are you? My name is Timm and my two biggest passions are history and Amsterdam. Hence, nothing makes me happier than combining these great loves of mine to create an authentic Dutch experience for you! Tall, blonde, and a big cheese lover, that's me! As you can probably tell, I was born and bred in the Netherlands (the Hague to be precise) and I moved to Amsterdam 8 years ago. It was always my dream to live in the Dutch capital, and I can't wait to show you my reasons why. I'm a History graduate of the University of Leiden (the oldest university in the Netherlands) and I finished my Masters in Arts and Culture. My specializations are Dutch history and Dutch paintings from the 17th century (the Dutch Golden Age). If you want to experience the glory days of Amsterdam, then I recommend the Amsterdam 17th century tour. This tour includes a visit to a classic Dutch house, a picturesque walk alongside the historic canals, and a stop at the amazing Rijksmuseum, which is our national gallery. However, if you prefer to discover some hidden gems in this thriving city, I can take you on the "Amsterdam: Behind-the-Scenes tour. This off-the-beaten-path tour will entail a visit to the Jordaan area, where you can peruse peaceful courtyards, discover a secret passageway, and catch a glimpse of not-yet-discovered islands. The tours that I offer are created from my point of view so that that you walk away with a richinsight into the Dutch culture and everything else my beautiful country has to offer. Sharing and creating stories is the red thread in my life. I started with tour guiding more than 10 years ago and I'm still loving every minute of it. Timm was my guide in Amsterdam. Besides being a tall, beautiful blond, Timm is a warm and friendly person with a pleasing personality. While Timm guided me through the Rijksmuseum she explained the paintings and provided the history of the works, artists and periods. I found her to be very knowledgeable, to be expected from someone with an Arts and Cultural Masters and specializing in Dutch history and paintings. We also toured the Anne Frank house, the Jewish Historical Museum and Portuguese Synagogue. We spent an entire day together touring Amsterdam and had a great time. If you want a knowledgeable, entertaining and thoroughly enjoyable guide, call Timm.

Timm was AMAZING!!!! We had a fantastic tour with Timm today. She is able to bring all the art to life with the history as well as stories about the different pieces of art. Timm did a great job of selecting various art to highlight, as with just two hours it is not possible to see everything. We were able to see the primary artists in which we had an interest so it was perfect. I would highly recommend doing a tour with Timm, whether you are an adult couple as we were or a family with children.
