Easy going private Holland tours by van (max 7 passengers). My main interest is to give you a wider view of Holland than that of only tulips, clogs and cheese. As an independent guide, I do not come with any kind of 'must-see' plan. Of course, it is important to have knowledge about the culture, the museums and history, but I prefer to show my visitors how the Dutch live. The nicest comment I ever had about my tours was that it felt like having a friend taking you sightseeing. My tours have been awarded with a 'Certificate of Excellence'. We will see all the highlights of Amsterdam, the Hague, Delft and the hidden gems of the countryside. The Hague and Delft which are less than one hour's drive from Amsterdam. In the Hague we visit all the highlights, like the Royal Palace Noordeinde, the Hall of Knights and the Houses of Parliament, the International Court of Justice and Mauritshuis. In Delft there is much to see of historical interest. And a visit to the authentic Delft Blue pottery studios is a must see. No Holland tour without seeing the typical Dutch traditional country side with windmills, cheese farms and picturesque villages. Instead of Delft we could also pay a visit to Haarlem. Or a visit to one of the biggest European castles 'Muiderslot' or 'De Haar'. In my seven hours private tour we can cover many of these places. During the tulip season a combination with the 'Keukenhof Gardens' is optional. It is your choice!
We had a wonderful day with Hans in his luxury van. It was great to explore the countryside away from the hustle and bustle of Amsterdam. We visited Delft and The Hague with a stop at a windmill. Hans is experienced, flexible and personable with a wealth of information on the history, art and architecture of The Netherlands. We highly recommend.
Our tour with Hans was incredible. He tailored the day perfectly for us, beginning with an early start at 7:00 AM to see the tulip auction—a fascinating operation that moves 40 million flowers in only three hours per day. Keukenhof Garden was breathtaking, with millions of tulips on display in a beautiful landscape. Beyond the gardens, Hans took us out to the countryside tulip fields, which provided a unique and authentic look at the industry. We finished our wonderful day with lunch in the charming town of Delft. If you’re looking for a knowledgeable and thoughtful guide, we highly recommend Hans!

Hans is wonderful! We all so much enjoyed his extremely knowledgeable but laid-back style. We were not the easiest group -- leading up to the tour I was frequently messaging Hans that "we would like to do this or that, what do you think?" He was so flexible and willing to customize the tour to our wishes, but he also provided great guidance to keep us away from the overly-touristed areas. What a great guide! You can't go wrong with this tour.

For the tours I have a luxury and spacious VW T5 available, with big panoramic windows. The van has big and wide doors to make it easy to get in and out. Because of the Dutch climate it has a well functioning heating system. And of course an air con system is integrated. My van has a baggage capacity for a standard suitcase per person plus a carry-on bag. If you are planning to take extra baggage, I can organise an additional car.
