My 3 hour private walking tour gives you the opportunity to discover Amsterdam. Besides the old town we visit Dam square and you experience our world famous canal district. Admire the former houses of the rich merchants and take pictures on scenic bridges. And there is so much more to see because as a resident of Amsterdam I like to show you the less known places. I love local products with a nice story and buildings and places with a special history. As with all of my tours I individualize each tour based on what YOU want to see. During this tour there is an option to taste local delicacies or I give you suggestions for the best local shops. I will tell you about the history of Amsterdam, from the earliest origin, the 17th Century and the influence on our life nowadays. After my tour you will not only know more about Amsterdam and its inhabitants. If you like I can also give you recommendations for places to visit, restaurants, shops and public transport. A complete introduction to the city!
Each tour is unique, your route depends on our starting point and your wishes. A suggestion for an itinerary: -Meeting you in the lobby of your accommodation or agreed meeting point -Dam square with the Royal Palace, monuments commemorating World War II -A short break is possible, it is a private tour adapted to you -Canals with former Merchant's houses -Old town* -I like to reveal hidden details and show you less known places -We end your tour in the lobby of your accommodation or any other central location you choose. *Guided tours are not permitted in streets with window brothels -for more information: City of Amsterdam-rules and exemptions for guided tours in the city centre Are you interested in a longer or different tour? The lobby of your hotel If your hotel/accommodation is located outside the historical center I recommend to meet you in front of the white building opposite Amsterdam Central Railway Station, Stationsplein 10, 1012 AB Amsterdam. Cruises: Passenger Terminal Amsterdam, Piet Heinkade 27, 1019 BR Amsterdam or De Ruijterkade Please inform me about your flight number/train arrival time if you arrive on the same day of your tour. I recommend to avoid a tight schedule as flight/train delays might occur.
