Hi, my name is Bart. Great news that you're planning to visit The Netherlands. I'd love to contribute to make your stay unforgettable. I live with my family in the middle of Amsterdam and we enjoy the city every day. With my own consultancy firm I work with people from all over the world. It is so much fun to meet new people with completely different backgrounds and hearing their stories. My family and I also have great memories of our three years stay in Charlotte, North Carolina. I'm passionate about history, culture and art to feel and understand the choices made by people and to discover their stories that affect our lives today. Overview of your Amsterdam tour
We will stroll through the oldest part of town, the red light district, the canal area, the jewish district and exiting sites of the Dutch East India Company. We'll walk through the centuries. I'll show you where famous Amsterdammers lived. We have all day. We'll take our time to go into wonderful canal houses, brown cafés and cute alley ways. You will be inside 17th, 18th century and contemporary Amsterdam. But I also want to know more about you. E.g. you want to see the best stuff of the Rijks or Van Gogh museum? my Anne Frank Tour? American history sites? Going inside a genuine canal house? Taking a boattrip through the canals? Doing the cute Jordaan district? Jewish history sites? A great Amsterdam foodmarket? No problem. Just let me know and we'll make an enjoyable plan. You will get to know the city. We'll pick a great lunch spot and we'll take as many breaks as we want. I know a lot of nice places where we can relax and enjoy nice food and drinks I am a storyteller. Ready for my Amsterdam stories?
Your Amsterdam tour itinerary
I suggest I will pick you up at your hotel. We will hit the: Old Church, Red Light District, Nieuwmarkt, Dam square, Royal Palace, New Church, Canal area, Westerkerk, the cute Jordaan courtyards, the Beguinage. We'll have time to select a few things to meet your personal interests. For example: Rijksmuseum (Dutch Masters), van Gogh Museum, Rembrandt House (Rembrandt workshop and residence), markets, former jewish district, boattrip through the canals, Anne Frank sites outside of their hiding place or going into a genuine canal house. Just let me know your interests and I will make a feasible itinerary for our day.
