Bart was an exceptional guide and made our time in Amsterdam unforgettable. His knowledge of the city’s history, culture, and landmarks was outstanding, and he explained everything in a way that was both engaging and easy to understand. We visited all of the must-see sites, and his attention to detail made every stop interesting. Beyond being incredibly informative, Bart was simply a pleasure to spend the day with. Such a wonderful tour in Amsterdam! Our group of 7 had an amazing day with Bart, learning so much about Amsterdam history, art and culture while strolling along the canals and visiting museums. We covered so much, yet at a relaxed and comfortable pace. Bart was great at customizing the tour for our interests and patiently answering all of our questions. Highly recommend.

We have use guides from Tours by Locals before and have always been impressed by their knowledge, friendliness and genuine love of what they do. Bart excelled in every category. The pace he set was perfect. He brought the history of Amsterdam to life with his knowledge of people and events. He knows great places to stop for coffee/tea and lunch. Our weather was cold and wet at times but, it really didn’t matter. He made the day perfect. We would choose Bart again without any hesitation.

We had a wonderful tour of Amsterdam with Bart. He is very knowledgeable about the city and brought maps showing the different centuries of the city. He was successful in getting us Anna Frank House tickets which was very much appreciated. They sell out quick and with our time difference we most likely would not have gotten any. He was very personable and knew a lot about the town, the houses and some of the inhabitants. He scheduled us a canal cruise also which was fun. It rained the whole day and it was a 6 hour walking tour, but we were prepared and didn't let it bother us. We come from Arizona so we appreciate rain! Had a great lunch of crepes in a cute restaurant. He walked us back to the train station and made sure we got on the right train to Rotterdam where our ship was docked. All in all a great day.

We spent a wonderful day walking Amsterdam with Bart. He shared his love for his city and his country, teaching us about Amsterdam and the Netherlands along the way. We were small group of four. Bart met us at our hotel and entertained us for the next 8 hours. We saw his recommended highlights and added a short visit to the Rijksmuseum as well. Bart also provided an extensive resource of other sites, activities and dining recommendations depending on how long you plan to stay in Amsterdam. Bart would be an excellent selection as your guide.

Bart was amazing. I had high expectations coming into the tour and he far exceeded them. I learned so much about Amsterdam's history. Bart is also a great guy and it was fun to spend the day with him. I highly recommend one of his tours!
