Highlights of Amsterdam Private Walking Tour

Bart was great. Quizzed us on our interest prior to starting our tour. Things we wanted to see, anything we weren't interested in, etc. Once we started walking, he kept up a steady pace between pointing out interesting sites and storytelling about the history of Amsterdam. Never lingered too long and suggested a couple of breaks to give us a chance to rest our legs (and sample local beers! ). Bart knows his stuff and has "been around " so that his perspective is well informed. I would recommend this tour for a deeper dive into what makes Amsterdam such a unique city.

Excellent walking tour of the city. Bart is a true historian of his native Amsterdam. He asked us our special interests and easily wove them into our journey. He is enthusiastic, witty, and an excellent story teller. It is clear how much time and effort he has put into the preparation of his tours. It was a great way to spend our first day in this beautiful city and it was one of the highlights of our trip. We will definitely book a tour with him when we return next year!

Excellent walking tour of Amsterdam!! We enjoyed our walking tour led by Bart. He was personable and knowledgeable!! The pace was perfect and included a couple stops at a couple of his favorite spots for coffee. Highly recommend.

We had a great tour with Bart. He met us at our hotel and planned a tour while asking opinions on what we’d like to see. He selected a great local cafe for a mid-tour rest stop. He also provided us with a great number of recommendations for us to see on for the remainder of our stay. I would highly recommend a tour of Amsterdam with Bart!

Bart was a fabulous host. He was friendly and engaging and well organised. He explained our route before we started and identified some hidden gems as well as the regular well known spots for us to see. We had a couple of stops at cafes that he recommended and finished in a lovely bar. He was knowledgeable, insightful, engaging and very passionate about his home city.
